On tap at Capone’s. An enjoyable, peppy brew. 9.7 ABV is well-hidden. This is a nicely balanced, full-flavored IPA. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Draught at Capone’s: Aroma of citrus, pineapple, hops, malt, slight biscuit, and grapefruit. Poured amber/gold in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Hazy. Lightly sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, malt, citrus, grapefruit, resin, and fruit. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, medium bitter, hop, and resin finish. 9.7%ABV is completely hidden throughout. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2011
On tap at Capone’s. Poured a deep golden color with a smaller sized off white head. Citrus with floral hops. Same tastes of caramel. Some fruitiness. This was a decent IIPA. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - AUG 8, 2011

Draft at World of Beer (Tampa Palms). Pours a clear copper amber color. White head with great lacing retention along the glass. Tons of citrus and grapefruit hops in the aroma. Flavor has some initial candied sugar sweetness that is quickly followed by the expected hop bitterness. The high alcohol is fairly well masked compared to some double IPAs. mixmasterob (1058) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Growler from Hop City. Very nice nose on this one. All of the standard big citrus notes, decent sweet malt made for a candy like aroma too. Flavors were also quite sweet, lots of fruity citrus, pine and grass. Mouthfeel was nice and chewy, big, light carbonation. A very good double from a brewery that usually doesn’t impress.. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - MAY 2, 2011
Pours golden orange with a small white head. The aroma is huge fruity hops with lots of grapefruit, mango, peach, and berries. Very sweet and fruity smelling. The flavor is similar with potent fruitiness mostly berries, grapefruit, peach and bitter pine in the finish. Lots of caramel on the palate, but the hops are potent enough not to detract. The mouthfeel is thick and borders on syrupy. Probably the best Widmer beer I’ve ever had. SanfordBrewer (1608) - Sanford, Florida, USA - APR 7, 2011
Very nice fruity citrusy hops, sweet pale malt. Great hop profile, with tons of flavor. brianprentiss (705) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 23, 2011
total hop bomb, very sharp bitterness, the beer says the bitterness is buried by the sweetness of the alcohol, but it’s not buried by anything.
