Bomber from Finger Lakes Beverage, shared with Billy, served cold in a tulip glass. Happy Brew Years!Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 21, 2012
App.: Slightly hazy amber with a small rocky head.
Aroma: Big bright citrus, intense, pine, white wine, Sauv. Blanc, apricots and tropical fruits, gorgeous, nice biscuit and caramel-ish support, beautiful.
Palate: Medium+ body, fairly aggressive effervescence.
Flav.: Pine/resin, passion fruit, apricots, brown sugar and caramel, a little savoury, more “typical” American malts, a bit grassy, a little white wine, toast, biscuit, lovely; sweet with good bitterness, slightly perfumed and floral and a long, malty, beautiful richly-hopped finish.
Poured a perfectly clear golden orange, with a big fluffy bright white head. Great lacing and smells of citrus, grapefruit, and earthiness. Taste is bitter from the start to finish, sweet malt in the middle, and a touch of alcohol on the finish. Sticky mouthfeel and high carbonation. Not bad. 50belair (3682) - Florida, USA - JUL 29, 2011
On tap at the Funky Buddha. Clear yellow pour with a fluffy white head. Citrusy/florally hop aromas. Nice balance of grapefruit/florally/citrusy hops and sweet caramel malts... jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 6, 2013

Bottle - pours clear copper with offwhite head and nice lacing. Nose is spruce, pine and grapefruit. Flavor adds caramel. Quite bitter with some sweetness. Boring for style but could be due to be due to the warm beer. Dry finish.

Nice and heavy. A whole lot of hoppy flavor, a ton more alcohol. Excellent job, Widmer Bros. glennmastrange (2922) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Bottle. Light grain and caramel for the malt, moderate perfume and orange for the hops, faint soap for the yeast, with hints of butterscotch, honey and light dried fruit. Head is average size, frothy, light beige with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky medium amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a soft carbonation. A tasty beer, but to me it’s distant from a true DIPA. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - AUG 8, 2008
OBF 2008. Heavily hopped grapefruit bomb, sharp bitterness, pithy and dry palate scraper. Smelled nice, but a bit to sharp in the bitterness for my tastes, I’d prefer more floral hop notes and less bittering hops, but you can’t please everyone and I know a lot of people really dug this beer.
