light in color and flavor. a bit hazy as wheats should be. slight citrus and banana flavors as well as the standard yeasty aroma/flavor. nothing special.

Beautiful glowing yellow thats is hazed and confused. Small head which is sad being that they call this a hefe. Nose is light and contains hay and yeast aromas. Flavor is quite bland, but somewhere in there lurks a small peck of wheat, lemon zest, and yeast. Ends with a small spice finish perhaps clove? Decent beer and fair price to pay when its on sale.

Cloudy Yellow unfiltered appearance. Medium Head. Sweet and Fruity aromas. Maintianing fruitiness into the flavor. Also flavors of clove. Nice crisp finish.

Pours a hazy straw color, that is topped by a frothy thinish off-white head. The aroma is bready and yeasty with hints of lemon and fresh cut herbs or grass. The taste is lightly sweet up front with a simple grassy grain character. There is actually some nice subtle spice character to this beer, it seems to be contributed from a combination of the hops and yeast. This beer is also fruity with notes of apple cider, a hint of lemon, and some notes of pear. The finish is fairly bitter for a beer of this style and there is a slight tartness as well, I like the way these elements balance the softer notes that are found up front.

This beer actually has quite a bit more character to it than I was expecting, granted it is still an American Version of a Hefeweizen, but it is tasty enough for a simple quaffing brew.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2008 The surprise of the tasting session...thanks Sam. decanting put a murky yellow-gold ale in my heffe glass. Moderate merigue cap...modest small bubbled carbonation. The nose was wonderful!!....pure bubble gum with some sour dough tones. Very mellow well rounded character for a heffe...not sharp and spritzy...more soft and delicious with the strong banana-clove signature taste profile that rides to the finsh...which is surprizingly light and clean...a wonderful heffe...I will stock up if I have a chance.

Orange hazy unfiltered colour, fruity, but metallic like tart astringency. That was an unexpected bitterness. Citrus aroma. Some spice clove and pepper, theme from yeast, banana.

Bottle poured a cloudy orange yellow with a great thick head and lacing that hangs on the glass in sheets!
Clean crisp citrus aroma.
Flavor is light malt and citrus and very easy drinking.
Very good beer, would like to have a case of this for the coming HOT summer days!

12 oz bottle: Cloudy deep gold w/ a lasting white head. Very wheaty aroma! A slight citrusy hop that’s also a little spicy. Some grainy malt as well. Otherwise pretty clean. Well balanced, wheat malt flavor, dry finish w/ a lightly bitter aftertaste. Higher carbonation, lightly dry m/f, lighter medium body. For a non German Hefe, it’s pretty tasty. I like the hop aromas in the nose and the dry, crisp finish.

I tried this beer as a suggestion from a fellow attender at a Meet the Brewers Night and allow me to thank him. This was a great beer very crisp and refreshing a perfect summertime relaxer.
