A golden unfiltered wheat beer that is truly cloudy and clearly superb.

On tap. Hazy/cloudy orange in color. Citris aromas with hints of yeasts and wheat. Citris, bready tastes.

Bottle from Palm Canyon Liquor, Palm Springs. A vivid yellow/orange with no head. Smells very citric and acidic. Tastes pretty good. Very fruity - less big on yeast, and consequently a little thin tasting. Finishes a little like a Lager - I preferred Pyramid.

Not too bread-tasting, and works well with the lemon. Could be a bit more dense in appearance though, to give it more appeal. Not as much rich head as attributed in the picture.

A great looking wheat beer, my favorite kind of beer, I would buy this anyday. I want to try more of the widmer brothers brews.

Pours a very cloudy orangish yellow. Almost looks like some sort of fruit juice. It even smells like fruit juice. It even tastes like fruit juice. Lots and lots of citrus and fruit on the nose and the tongue. Thin mouthfeel. This shit flat out sucks.

tap, poured a hazy straw yellow color, thinck white head faded away too fast.a nice citursy aroma tase had a mild lemon taste, but that was over powered b a bread like malt flavor. finish wasdelicateand hoppy. had one with out a lemon and one with, itís better with the lemon.

atpayne (615) - Zionsville, Indiana, USA - MAY 1, 2004
Has a nice look, seems to fit the style of a hefe. Itís yellow with a clean white head. There is a definate citrus aroma along with some wheat and a hint of yeast. Itís refreshing, with a nice wheat and lemony citrus flavor. Some faint spice as well. Years ago this was my first non commercial beer and got me turned onto tring good beer so it has sentemential value to me, but it hasnít held up over the years as Iíve realised how much good beer there is. It still gets good points though.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2007 Much better at the brewery then in bottles, you get a lot more yeast flavor and more wheat. Pours very cloudy golden orange with a strong white head. Skip the lemon for me. This is the iconic american wheat, very light but well done hop finish that compliments the wheaty and yeasty flavor. Iím not a fan out of the bottle, but the draught version is nice.

Very cloudy and lots of citrus taste and aroma. I liked this beer the first few times I had it because it was different. But now, the taste is getting kind of old. Too much citrus, not enough spice to make it a good hefe.

On tap. It has a nice aroma, but nothing really stands out in the flavor except for a lemony bite and some coriander. It just doesnt have the spices that make German Hefes so much better than the microbrew counterparts.
