Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an average brown frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium complex dark roasted coffee aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted coffee flavor with a medium to heavy roasted dark coffee finish of moderate duration. This is a solid brew.

Sweet aroma welcomes your palate that is further enticed by a thick khaki head and black bodied Milk Stout. Maltiness gives way to flavors of coffee, sweet chocolate, and a light bitterness. This is one smooth and very tasty Milk Stout. Jonathan_E (21) - Orange, California, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Poured from a twenty-two ounce bottle into a wide-brimmed tumbler.
Gritty, earthy smell evolved to rich brownie batter, chocolate liqueur, and burnt oatmeal cookie, raisins and all.
A khaki nimbus cover that waxes thinner without ever letting up. Appears fun to fall on.
Rich and dense loam becomes, as it had on the nose, abundant in chocolate ganache, bitter-sweet chocolate chips, See’s Bordeaux truffles, and S’mores.
The lactic acid is highly apparent on the palate. Silky almond milk consistency that coats the throat. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JAN 22, 2013
22. Pours black with a thin, wispy dark tan head. Mild chocolatey sweet nose, kinda smells like Whoppers--malted milk candy. Fairly thin body. Soft carb. Chocolatey, chalky mid-palate with a mild sweet finish. cooplander (543) - Florida, USA - JAN 21, 2013

Aroma: Burnt malt, chocolate, licorice, and brown sugar.
Appearance: Dark brown, almost black, with a small off-white head.
Taste: Moderately sweet, and slightly bitter as well. There’s a bit of sourness in the finish.
Palate: Medium bodied, relatively thin texture, and an average carbonation.
Draft. Pretty decent brew. Very smooth but not super sweet like I was expection. I’m not usually a huge fan of Widmer, but this one is very well done. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JAN 12, 2013
The beer pours a dark brown to black color with a tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is very similar. I get some bitter chocolate and heavily roasted malt notes. There is also a hint of smoke and some cream notes. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
