Black chocolate body with rich, creamy and thick dark chocolate head. Lovely roast barley and chocolate nose, understated, but pleasant. Sweetened hopped chocolate body.

Small head quickly disappeared. Dark. Roasted, dark chocolate coffee smell and taste. Nice mouthfeel. Low bitterness, long lasting aftertaste. From bottle dated 9/11/12 had on 12/2/12. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good beer - an easy drinker. Lacked a big aroma. It had some roasty/marshmallow characteristics, but not a lot. The flavor was roasty, toasty, but need a silkier mouthfeel. It was a solid beer, just wanted more creaminess and something to mellow out the big earthy hops.

12 oz. can purchased at @ Nikki’s Liquors, Providence, R.I. for $2.59. Stamp says bottled on 12 September 2012. Guinness pint glass shows a black liquid with a quickly disappearing tan head that leaves nothing in its wake. Nose is roasted barley, chocolate and light pine hops. Where is the sweet lactose or sweet sugar? I was expecting roasted malts and coffee sweetness somewhere. It tastes more like a weak Black IPA. Thinner body with a slight pine finish. When I open a sweet stout, that’s what I want to drink. Complete false advertising here. The rating reflects that fact.

22. Pours black with a thin, wispy dark tan head. Mild chocolatey sweet nose, kinda smells like Whoppers--malted milk candy. Fairly thin body. Soft carb. Chocolatey, chalky mid-palate with a mild sweet finish.

Dark brown pour. Creamy tan head. Very light chocolate, lactose, plastic. Flavor is like magic markers mixed with a milk stout. Meh.

bottle. pours black with a small, stable, creamy brown head. milk chocolate aroma with some toast. creamy, full palate. flavors is not as sweet as i like. it has some milk chocolate notes with some toast, dog food, and way too much foresty hops for the style. i don’t understand the cascade hop addition in a milk stout. its like drowning a filet in steak sauce.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle from 10/2012 into an English pint glass. Color was a very dark brown to black; small creamy light tan head with good lacing that diminished quicker than expected. Light toasted malt with tones of raisin and flowers. Somewhat sweet initial flavor quickly turning to burned acidic finish, not entirely pleasant. Medium/full bodied with creamy texture, light carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is chocolate malt with milk notes. Pours black with creamy off white head. Taste is strong chocolate malt with some creaminess. Finishes smooth with chocolate note lingering. Good milk stout, but still inferior to left hand's. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
