Bottle. Colour... amber with a thin off-white head. Nose... moderately malty with some grassy notes. Palate... decent froth, some notes of malt, caramel, hints of hops and grass. A so-so amber, but not what I think of when I think "Oktoberfest".

GraviCask (GBBF2011, Wed)
Slick orange. Sticky and mashy. Unbalanced sweet mess. Not getting the diacetyl others are, but I agree this is not a good use of beer ingredients. Painfully sweet and underattenuated. Dear Widmers, the bavarian octoberfest beers were _lagers_, not _ales_. If you don’t yet know the difference, it’s not surprising you end up with crap like this.
