Clear orange color. Nice sweet malty aroma. Taste is quite flavorful and sweet. This a very solid marzen. Several elements of tea leaves that sit on the palate. Nice. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - OCT 11, 2009
12 oz bottle. Clear deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, bread and a bit of spicy hops. Flavor is fruity sweet with just a touch of bitterness. Medium body with active carbonation and a clean finish. This is pretty good, the flavor is a bit strange. One question, if you’re going to make a beer called Okto for Oktoberfest, why make it an amber ale??? badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - OCT 7, 2009

12-oz. Pours a crystal clear dark amber with a loose smudge of gray film on top. Cabbage and smoldering dry leaves on the nose. Watery, fairly flat light body. Toast, leaves, and less cabbage on the mid-palate. Mild doughy finish. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - SEP 11, 2009
12oz bottle from Lukas Liquor. Pours clear copper with nice one finger off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt, light caramel and some spices. Flavor is sweet malts, caramel, light hops, and metallic notes. Little bit more full flavor and mouthfeel compared to Left Hand’s version I just had, but not exactly better.
