12 oz bottle, not as good as i remembered it, metallic taste, kind of dry on the tongue i don’t regret getting it but wont buy it again. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 7, 2009
Pours amber with a white head. Smells of sweet malt and spicy. Tastes dry and bland with some peppery splashes. Disappointing. ditmier (1508) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 29, 2009
2009 Bottle - Pours orange with a sizeable white head...aroma is dry malt and grainy, almost a bit vegetal...flavour is similar, dead leaves, toast and some dark malt...finish is lightly bitter, meh... Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - MAY 8, 2009
12 oz bottle. Pours an orange-copper color with a 2 finger white head that is quick to evaporate. Aroma of caramel, cinnamon and a light pine hop note. Flavor is all malt with some light spiciness and pine hop. Okay, but nothing to write home about.

Bottle Pours a dark slightly hazy amber/brown with only a minimal off-white head that lingers nicely. Lacing is sparse and chunky. Aroma mostly of dark malts, and caramel. Flavor is malt and nuts but kind of thin. Just has that mass-produced taste. Carbonation is quite soft. Easy on the hops and the finish is lacking bitterness but a woody earthen taste is there. djd07 (14358) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 3, 2008
Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper color wtih a medium frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is sweet fruit with raisin and light hops. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet roasted malt with caramel and a spicy finish. A good amber ale from Widmer. DubC5000 (305) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 24, 2008
Maple malty aroma. Dark orange in color, with more than typical carbonation for an ale. Some resiny hop sweetness and leafiness. Flavor continues sweet malt backdrop and mild hop accents. Some alcohol burn and ’choke’ present but I think it adds to the character rather than detracts. Beer is filling and warming. buckyp (32) - Eufaula, Georgia, USA - OCT 12, 2008
Clear, toffee color pour with small light caramel head. No lacing and head dissipated quickly. Nice malty aroma with slight hops undertone. Warm malty palate with just the slightest hops bitterness as I finished glass. Enjoyed it thoroughly for a seasonal beer. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - OCT 4, 2008
12oz bottle. Rich amber color with a lasting head. Cinnamon, plastic, caramel, and pine in the aroma. Sweet toffee and caramel, with a sprucy finish. Medium, syrupy body. I want a real oktoberfest...
