Det här kan mycket väl vara den bästa barley wine jag någonsin druckit. Ölen var otroligt välbalanserad med toner av torkad frukt, honung, äpple och druva. Len och slät och alldeles...alldeles... Underbar!

22oz bomber of '12, bottled July 19, 2012. Pours a hazy amber-orange with minimal head. Sweet boozy aroma with pitted fruit, bread malt, caramel, and some earthy hops. Taste is very balanced, a bit more hop-forward than the aroma. No hot spots at all; ages well. Delicious!

DenverLogan (1302) - North Bend, Washington, USA - DEC 5, 2013
On tap at Cedar Creek Pub, Colorado. Pours amber. Very light aroma of straw hops, melon, malt. Modest carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of a wonderful balance of tasty malts and hops, with hidden alcohol but big body. Extremely smooth drinking like a bomb-ass session beer!!

Malty nose; deep amber with dimming lacy beige head; Flava is rich sweet tobacco, raspberry, pumpkin, molasses, and honey; feels thick and chewy with some zing(not flat); finishes dry within tart berry and sweet berry.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2013 Pours a deep amber with a medium off white head. Aroma is sweet caramel and malted grains. Taste is identical to aroma, but this barley wine is extremely smooth. It has an oily texture that goes down soooo easy. The malts are beautifully mellow and the alcohol is non-existant. One of the best, in a cool cool way.

Galet bra. Söta inslag av karamell. Självklar en hel chocklad aktig kaffe. Riktigt bra balans och ABV försvinner så fint.

22 oz bottle dated July, 2012 poured a clear golden brown. Aroma is sweet caramel. Taste is also caramel with mild hop flavor. Great clean mouth feel and very smooth with minimal burn. Excellent barleywine!

caramel, roasty, coffee, chocolate, herbs, resin, earthy, leaves, dough, clove, licorice, soy sauce, amber, clear, minimal head, white foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, soft carbonation,

Quite good. Strong barley wine flavor. No alcohol heat. And not boozy, which is a welcome change in this style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

4.2
liquidhedonism (289) - Beaverton, Oregon, USA - AUG 31, 2014
On tap at Widmer in Portland, OR. Nose has all of the maltiness, but only a bit of the floral hops. The hops show up in a bitter finish, but quickly disappear in the aftertaste. This beer is sweet all over, with notes of brown sugar, and the alcohol is masked pretty well. All told, a pretty standard Barley Wine offering.
