3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Nice brown head with plenty of lacing. Black color. The aroma is not very strong. There are hints of chocolate. The taste is slightly bitter. Body is light and fluffy. There is a hint of raspberries on the finish, but it’s barely there for me. Overall a nice brew.
Good beer, not even close to great for an imperial stout. For the abv it's not complex enough. Portland

(Rating #7880) jonas (8035) - Garching b. Bottle. Darkest brown, dark brown head. Brilliant chocolate mousse nose, lovely! Medium light mellow mouthfeel. Light oxidized roast and chocolate, light cardboard and wood, don't get much berry, chocolate milk finish, hint berry retronasal. SinH4 (6265) - Garching b. Mnchen, GERMANY - AUG 31, 2017
Bottle. Darkest brown color with tan ring. Aroma is frozen raspberry, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, raspberry, burnt. Doesn't work out well. Ritzn (1808) - GERMANY - AUG 31, 2017
Black with little brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, lacto, rasins, some flowery stuff. Taste is dry dark chocolate, with sweet and sour raspberries. Quite balanced. I love raspberries. Quite smooth. A bit too alcoholic for drinkability. Nice.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Nose is very raspberries, chocolate, coffee. Palate is less exiting, raspberry is almost not there. Typical 08/15 imperial stout apart from the nose. anstei (2610) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - AUG 31, 2017
Bottle, at SinH4-5K-MoritzF-10K tasting. Pours black. Aroma is raspberry over chocolate and coffee. Body is heavy, strongly burnt, roasted, quite sweet but mostly bitter. A really dark beer. Good. jfb (6648) - GERMANY - AUG 31, 2017
(bottle) deep brown-black in colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of raspberry schnaps and grass, slightly green and metallic, with a hint of yeast, some toasted malts and cashews. flavour is mostly raspberries and toasted grain, slightly smoky and rather ethanolic, with a touch of bran flakes with milk, toffee and a rather dry light roasted-bitter finish. heavy-bodied with average carbonation. 22 oz bottle pours out dark brown topped with a tan ring of ahead. Nose is sweet raspberries dark chocolate roast malts. Taste is more of the raspberry notes Chocolat some molasses caramel maybe and some pit fruit. MartinT (10036) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 22, 2017
My Bottom Line:
This liquid dessert juxtaposes sweet chocolate, raspberry jam and cough syrup in a thick mouthfeel.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the brown-hued black.
-The cougy syrup allusions are too medicinal to my liking.
-Alcohol heat is prominent.
-The flavour profile is tad rough.
-This is too sweet for me to truly enjoy it, but it will have be appreciated by those in the mood for sugar and decadence.
