Sampled at SIB. Pours mahogany with a small creamy head. Aroma of citrus hops, and sour tropical fruits. Flavour is very hop heavy, citrus, tropical fruits, backed with caramel sweetness. More like an IPA - which suits me down to the ground. Really nice. wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - JUL 5, 2011
dark orangish copper body on the pour with a 4-6mm orangish head and good lacing. aroma is like citrus candy. taste is similar, rather light and thin body for the style, but it works really well imho, lets the hops shine and makes it very drinkable. very good highly hopped bw. lovin it. mcberko (17177) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 4, 2011
Sampled on tap at SIB, pours dark amber / maroon with a beige head. Aroma of citrus hops, sour tropical fruits and caramel. Intensely hoppy flavour for barley wine (almost a sweet Imperial IPA), citrus hops, and sour tropical fruits further back. Nice depth, but I don’t think the hops mesh extraordinary well. Nevertheless, enjoyable. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUL 3, 2011
Bomber pours deep ruby red with tan head. The aroma emits spicy hops and grapefruit notes, grassy hops and some sticky smelling sweet maltiness. The taste pummels the palate with wide loads of spicy hops mixing with grapefruit like hops all fully bitter and little on the flavor side. There are snippets of sweet maltiness that really do nothing to temper the bold brash bitter hoppiness going on here. The IBU must be up there. To midway and into the finish it picks up additional notes of grassiness, hop resin and mild levels of sweet maltiness. Big bitter boozy beer. jhumphries69 (1034) - Tyrone, Georgia, USA - JUL 2, 2011
22oz bomber. Deep reddish brown w offwhite head. Thick malty aroma w resiny notes of pungent hop and notes of toffee and raisin. Flavor is malty sweet but also resiny hoppy with lots of complexity - fruity esters, evergreen, toffee, hints of roasty malts. Mouthfeel is medium full and slippery with a somewhat aggressive bite of carbonation. Overall a tasty and well balanced brew.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a cream colored head. Sumemr fruit and light caramel aroma. Caramel and sumemr fruit flavor with light pine and light grapefruit. Medium-plus bodied. Summer fruit and grapefruit lingers with caramel and light pine. Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 15, 2011
Bottle with Andrew and Carla. Pours ruby red with off-white foam. Smells bitter and sweet. The taste reminds me of grapefruit, but actually tastes very sweet and fades into a pine-like bitterness. Palidor19 (3186) - Brandon, Florida, USA - JUN 15, 2011
good flavor, the beer has a strong flavor, palate is medium thin but has a good consistency. the malts and hops are almost equal. tasty all the way nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 15, 2011
The aroma is very malty with caramel and pine hops. The appearance is dark amber with a small head. The taste is like the aroma with a bitter finish. The palate is average for the style. Overall this is good but not great. bhensonb (15079) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 5, 2011
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours ruddy dark amber with a slight beige smear for head. Wow aromas of citrus/pine over light roast caramel. It’s smooth, thickly sweet and fairly balanced with floral/citrus. There’s even a bourbon vanilla aspect. Nicely done.
