Fruity aromas of cherry, dark fruit, and citrus hops. I think everything on this beer is decent until the finish, which has a medicinal quality. ABV is well hidden. robforbes (2267) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - OCT 24, 2012
pours a cloudy brown with a red tint, a thin khaki head that goes away, and some lace.
smell is of caramel, alcohol, malt, a touch of spice, and a somewhat woody.
taste is strong, roasted caramel, malt, some hops, and a touch of spice. ends a little thin and somewhat bitter. bigguns22 (803) - Maryland, USA - SEP 26, 2012
His beer is great and if you read the commercial description it is dead on not much to add. I will say at 9.5% abv almost not alcohol burn its just smooth. DoublEE (781) - South Euclid, Ohio, USA - AUG 28, 2012
A very well balanced, yet aggressivel hopped American Barleywine, this is a very enjoyable brew. The flavor of the early yeast is exceptional, and all the more enjoyable because of the way the hops use it to finish. If you enjoy a hoppy American barleywine, you won’t go wrong giving this one a try. raradel (343) - Atlanti Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 25, 2012
Very light for the style, great though because they are usually heavy, but this is nice. Not as high Abv as average but good profile. Really good!

Malt nose with subdued background of orange like citrus aromas. A sweet cotton candy with some vanilla paired with the bitterness of the hops. Brandy and Sherry like flavors in the background. Sweet up front followed by a bitter finish. Spring 2011 release; just founf it Aug of 2012. It has had some time to age. Pretty good Barley Wine. rajendra82 (1103) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - JUL 27, 2012
The attractive auburn colored body was topped with a two finger thick foamy head, which took a few minutes to dissipate. The smell was very sweet like treacle, with some spice backing it up. The taste was very sweet, almost like diluted honey. There was some sour cherry flavor in the mid palette, with bitterness in the finish. The beer felt a little runny in the mouth compared to others in the style. This is not truly a classic barleywine, as it lacks a significant level of fruitiness, or the hop punch. It drinks more like a cross between a Belgian quadrupel and a barleywine, but weaker than both. olio (10552) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 25, 2012

Aroma is quite typical to a barley wine. It has sweet caramel, some malt and fruits. Flavour is malty with caramel, sweet fruits, hops and hints of gooseberry bush. Too sweet for me.
