22oz bottle thanks to blutt59.
Deep amber body with some off-white head. Aromas of pine, resin, and caramel. Flavor is pretty sweet with some grapefruit, more pine, and lots of bitterness. Chipalsa (1310) - Florida, USA - FEB 25, 2012

Appearance Amber, clean, creamy lacing
Aroma - Cherries, banana, yeast
Taste - Bitter, dry, toffee, citrus, hops
This barley wine reminded me of a double IPA. Nice and hoppy with malty, rich fruity tones. The finish was bitter and warm - not too complex but just enough to hit the spot.
dark coper color, lots of lacing, aroma of pine, citrus, dark fruits, and toffee, flavor of citrus, pine hops, caramel, chocolate and lots of toffee Travlr (26069) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - FEB 1, 2012
Bottle. Dark amber, thick tan head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of flowers > grass > pine. Taste has chocolate and coffee notes on top of the usual caramel. Very creative for a barleywine. Livid (49) - - JAN 30, 2012
22oz bottle, served at cellar temp in a tulip. Pours clear copper-brown with a little bit of tan head, faint lacing. Smells strong - caramel, toffee, resinous hop and pine with a detectable odor of alcohol. Taste is sweet and malty, with notes of caramel, almost-but-not-quite-balanced by burst of grassy, pine hop bitterness at the end. Full-bodied mouthfeel. If only the hops were better balanced - another year in the cellar might help with the balance. However, if it were hopped a little more, it might make for a good IIPA.

Pours a three finger cream head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Nose is grapefruit hops and flavor is grapefruit hops and caramel. Not bad but tart for a barleywine. $10.00 for a 22oz bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me. msante79 (2244) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - JAN 21, 2012
On tap at Toronado. Pours hazy dark brown with tan head. Aromas of dark fruits, toffee, dark malts, and some citrus hops. Flavors of toffee, dark fruits, caramel, citrus hops. Finishes with nice bitterness. Thought this was going to be an over the top bitter BW, but I thought it had a nice amount of balance. Solid. badgerben (5323) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JAN 18, 2012
Ruby brown color with a small head. Sugary fruit aroma. Sweet mixed berries. Flavor veers to nearly burnt sugar, strong fruits (maybe a cherry/blackberry type mix). Light caramel. Moderate bitterness. Kind of dry. For being a 9 month old hop-forward barleywine, this is still remarkably hoppy. Johnsense (1753) - - JAN 16, 2012
Brownish pour, fairly reasonable head. Straks of lacing. Booze and dried fruit in the aroma - Bittersweet probably sums it up best. Banana, Candied fruit, plum, alcohol, Malty, bitterness from the Galaxy hops. A little over carbonated. - Fairly good. Sammy (12740) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 8, 2012
Much like an American strong ale, bitter and lots of malt. Brown with bubbling head.
