Bomber shared at the 18th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a thin head that quickly fades. Aroma of tart citrus, lemongrass, faint wheat. The taste is tart citrus, apricot, tropical fruits, fruit jam and canned fruit cocktail. Low carbonation, medium bodied and pretty weird. tia (2226) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Bottle @ 18th R G. Dark yellow golden. Smells sour with apeachy note. Tastes spot, but not in a good way. A little flat with a fruity finish. Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUN 23, 2012
Sampled at the at 18th Richmond gathering. Clear yellow pour with faint ring of white. Wow this is crazy tart. Those grapes just dry out the palate something awful. Massively sweet and tart and like a sweet white wine. Interesting. Very acidic. Cybercat (5838) - Georgia, USA - JUN 13, 2012
Strong, wheaty aroma has a decided overtone of lemon, and in some ways is more like a cider than a beer. Lemon cider? Lemon curry? OK, back to the review. It pours a pretty clear amber, but not much head. Crisp flavor has a malty core, strong fruity notes with grape dominating, and an overtone of lemon, rather sour but actually pleasantly so. From the lemongrass, I presume - distinctive and tasty. In addition, there is a subtle, bitter hoppy undertone. Sharp texture has good body and some fizz. Keep up the good work, Widmer Brothers! Your reserve beers may not be the absolute best, but they are distinctive and fun to try.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head. The aroma is citrus and grape. Thin mouthfeel with a strong lemon and citrus with light sour finish. Easy to drink a good brew from Widmer. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Bottle thanks to mora2000. Surprised I hadn’t rated this before. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a small white head. Aromas are floral, lemon-lime soda, honey, very sweet, artificial, lightly grainy. Flavors are metallic, wet dog, lemongrass, peppery, low citrus, honey, very sweet, chamomile, light tartness. Lively bubbles, warming, not great. phaleslu (10271) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Pour from a 22 oz. bottle at Microfest 2012. Pours a cloudy orange with a small off-white head. Lemon citrus and grape juice lead the way, with lemongrass and other fresh herbs, wheat, caramel malts, and a woody note. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, wheaty, juicy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Weird beer, but pretty tasty. thegreenrooster (4402) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 5, 2012
Pour is a clear yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a wheat malt base but not much else. Flavor is again wheat malt up front with maybe and ever so slight citrus and some sweetness. Hides the 9% well but do you really need a 9% wheat beer? It’s ok for a wheat, and a sample would be better than buying a bottle. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - APR 27, 2012
(22oz bottle, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a clear yellow body with a spare white head. Aroma of lemon dish soap, wheat, and light florals. Flavor of lemongrass, vanilla, and wheat.
