650 ml bottle had in Germany with very much thanks to Travlr for taking his time to bring this all the way from America. Pours cloudy yellow to orange with a very small off-white head. Aroma is a fine mild citrus and wheat maltiness. A very estery fruit and strong citrus flavor. Mellow yeasty and light citric. Bitter and mellow estery palate. A srange beer with a lot of added flavor. This really shoud be a fruit beer. jeremytoni (3082) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - JAN 28, 2012
From a bottle poured a copper color with almost no head. Sweet malty flavor with a quick finish. Palidor19 (3193) - Brandon, Florida, USA - JAN 22, 2012
a solid looking and tasting beer, the beer has a beautiful golden color with a touch of haziness. the aroma is strong with a bit of grass and lemon. the taste has a strong flavor of nice bread and wheatgrass. carbonation works well for a scrub. Highly recommended. pinkzambia (2069) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 12, 2012
Bottle: clear gold with a sweet aroma of sweetn oranges and yeast. Honey and nutmeg in the flavor. Super sweet aftertaste. Ok Tmoney99 (14864) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 9, 2012
Bottle. Poured hazy golden color with an average white frothy head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate grassy citrus, wheat and alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer.

Pours a deep golden color. Aroma is of lemongrass, wheat, malt, and some citrus. Flavor is the same with the citrus really coming through in the finish. Leaves a nice and sweeter citrus finish. Good one! hayduke (5619) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 3, 2012
This was a draft pour at the Sushi Bar in McCall, Idaho. I think you either like lemongrass or you do not. I kind of liked it. I came in the shaker glass a hazy yellow with a nice white head and a big nose of lemongrass. Remarkably full body for a wheat beer, and a smooth slick mouthfeel. Must be a lot of wheat in there. The flavor is somewhat sweet and as it moves into the finish you then get some bitterness for a nice bitter-sweet effect. Alcohol is well hidden. This went very well with the sushi. obguthr (6593) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2012
Babyfood pear aroma with hints of cayenne pepper. My son called it a really weird Texas Pete smell. Clear amber, headless. Whole overripe orange flavor with hints of sage. Lemongrass appears toward the end. Ends with a peppery bite, again like hot sauce. Full bodied, a bit too sweet. I’m trying not to show a bias against Widmer and imagined this being another one of Dogfish Head’s "off-centered ales", but I didn’t find much enjoyment in it. 22ox bottle. Pours orange, minimal head. Aroma is of sour grapes. Kinda bad belgian. Taste is sour, kinda grapey. Little citrus present. Really, really underwhelming. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - DEC 28, 2011
Pours an orange-y yellow color. Aroma has no punch especially when you get that first sip that is a big hit of grape followed by notes of citrus and the spice side-effect of the lemongrass. It is growing on me. Probably better really cold.
