2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is a cross between floral and cough drop. The head disipates instantly leaving no trace at all. Amber orange color is hazy with minimal bubbling. Taste is slightly sweettart, with definate grape juice undertones. Slick texture, medium body and soft carbonation linger on the palate for some time. Overall it’s an interesting beer that I would have again. One of the better beers I’ve had from Widmer as they haven’t impressed me much to date.
Sampled from a 22 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99 from notes. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, citrus, lemongrass, light white grape character, too sweet though, honey, hides the abv pretty well, just ok. kathouse (1942) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JUN 19, 2014
Hazy yellow with little evidence of foam. Lemon and grape are certainly noticeable. Grainy flavors are not blended well. Finish is dry and funky. travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 27, 2013
Backlog bottle thanks to so many good ratebeerians. The look is clear, no head, and golden in color. The taste is wheat, lemons, and fruits. The taste is about the same with some tartness. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - DEC 23, 2013
4/13/2012. From a 22 oz. bomber. Golden color with a white head. Herbal, citrusy and grassy aromas. A little acidic and tart, but refreshing and easy to drink. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2013

Appearance: Near clear, deep golden body with a white head that deteriorates in a flash. Poof. Gone.

Smell: Decidedly sweet-scented, smelling of heady malted wheat, syrup, jellies, honeybear honey, and booze with little lemongrass showing.
Taste: Heavily sweet, quite sugary from the first sip on. Sugar, sticky honey, muscat jelly. No real hop character or bitterness to begin tempering this mess. Vein of acidity running through the middle. Again, not much lemongrass, mostly just raw sweetness. Faint, faint and a noticeable booziness on the thick, that-ain’t-exactly-luscious, toothsome finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: I was geared up for a sweet, heavy beer, but, ugh, this was just clunky, clumsy, and cloying. A sack of sugar would’ve been cheaper.
Yellow with a white head. Aroma is wheat with some lemongrass notes. Flavor is lemons, oranges, wheat and some light grape character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. cubs (10742) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins and accidentally lost in the back of my fridge for a year. Pours a very hazy dark yellow orange appearance with an off white head that doesn’t have much retention. Slightly tart, herbal grape, somewhat spicy, a bit citrusy aroma. Flavor is fairly tangy/tart with a decent amount of tropical fruits, a ton of grape juice, and some spicy herbal elements. For the age, this still tastes pretty decent. jkwood04 (5472) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 20, 2013
22oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours light amber with a small head. Aroma of grapes, light lemongrass, light wheat, and light hops and malts. Flavor the same, with the grapes dominating. Average texture. A weird beer. madmitch76 (26440) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2013

Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Softish palate with a little fine carbonation. A little marmalade orange dominated by big fresh lemongrass. Slightly sweet. Semi dry finish. Refreshing and very moorish. Really well done.
