Gold color. Sweet up front, some honeyed notes, maybe a hint of the prickly pear. Ok I guess. slowrunner77 (13403) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 3, 2014
"here’s a big, thick brew for ya. smell is somewhat sweet with honey, fruit, a little alcohol, and malt. feel is thick, Fort-like if you will, but not quite to the extent of that beer. Flavor is reminiscent as well, though honey and a touch of spice dominate here. Not bad. Not sure if it’s worth the big price tag, but it was very nice to try."

The smell is honey, weak, not much. The look is clear, has a white colored head. The taste is sweet, ok fruits, and honey. wnewberr (100) - Huntersville, North Carolina, USA - OCT 1, 2012
Strong fruity aroma. Does not smell like beer. Pours with no head at all. Has what appears to be a chill haze. Certainly can taste the honey and fruit making this a very unique beer. However, it seems to be lacking in body. mnoud (318) - Martinsburg, West Virginia, USA - JUL 16, 2012
2012.07.16 - 22oz bottle in snifter. Bottle marked MAR1110. Limited Release #2 Spring 2010. Pours mildly orange to light amber. Little to no head or carbonation. Nose is sweet, almost similar to ( or implies ) a barley wine or something like Raison D'Extra but much reduced. Taste is quite pleasant and surprising. The 10% abv is almost undetectable, just barely showing up in the back end as the taste fades. This is going down like a fruit drink. Taste is hard to describe but certainly seems like an interesting balance of pear and honey. Very drinkable, perhaps dangerously so for 10% abv.
