The ChrisO small midweek tasting. Clear dark red beer, big pale tan head. Light palate, semi soft. The dark malts are light and creamy and the mild raspberry is well integrated. Drinks below it’s abv. Nice.
Bottle. Very dark brown, thick beige head, good retention, solid lacing. Aroma of bourbon hits you from across the room. After the initial impression it’s mostly the blueberries that are prominent. Taste is chocolate covered blueberries with an edge of warming whiskey that comes in late. Very nice. Leighton (21232) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2012
Bottle at a Chriso tasting, London. Pours dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Subtle chocolate and raspberry in the aroma. Big sweet flavor with moderate roast, dirt, nice chocolate-coated raspberries. Full in body with average carbonation. Good, chocolatey finish with nice raspberry integration, moderate earthy hops, some dirt. Good balance. I like it.
