22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark ruby-brown with a quarter finger of head that settles very quickly. No lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, hints of coffee, hay. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee up front, fading into cocoa tones and slight . Finishes with coffee, caramel, malty, nutty and mild soy sauce and alcohol tones. Slight bitterness that lingers and a slight pepper heat that builds after many sips. Soft to moderate carbonation and medium-heavy body. A strong, rich, malty brew but the pepper flavor doesn’t come through nearly as much as I’d have liked. The soy sauce and malt tones really come out as it warms making it a tough one to finish. unclemattie (4357) - Georgia, USA - DEC 30, 2012
Boxed, 22oz bottle. Limited Edition No.7 Pours dark brown color. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate. Tastes nutty, dark chocolate, coffee, toasted grains. Finishes with a green chili indigestion character. Pretty complex flavors. Nice in a cold winters night. (3567) GranvilleTim (1857) - Granville, Illinois, USA - DEC 28, 2012

Hints of roasted cacao nibs. Brown with a vanishing head. A touch of sweet malt and mild spice. A little twinge of heat in the gullet. Not bad.

Pours a dark amber pour with an off-white head. Excellent dark chocolate, cinnamon, and caramel malt sweetness. A hint of toasted nuts, some very faint chili notes, and a nice roasted malt aroma. The flavor has a slight spice of chili to it, but otherwise good chocolate, coffee, and nuts. Toasted malt, caramel, and a light roast character. Good balance of sweetness and roast. mnoud (318) - Martinsburg, West Virginia, USA - DEC 15, 2012
2012.12.15 - on tap Always Ron's in small tulip glass. Pours dark brown, moderate head. Aroma bland. Taste is smooth foamy head followed by roasted flavor followed by a bit if alcohol burn. It actually burned me lips a mild bit. There's some sweetness in there but not a lot. Kind of like a watery high alcohol stout.

Draft to snifter. Clear brown pour with a thin offwhite head. Aroma of coffee grounds, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, a little black pepper. Tastes like a coffee stout to start, then gets a little spicy, both cinnamon and pepper. Definitely get the ABV kick at the end. Pretty viscous mouthfeel. Would definitely seek this out again, really interesting beer.
