Always excited to try a limited edition beer. Who isn’t? Putting your nose in the glass you can smell toast (lightly burnt), vanilla, cinnamon, pecans, and green chilies. The first sip was a surprise; I could taste cinnamon, pecans, and green chilies, with a dark chocolate aftertaste. . This brew is defiantly a complex blend of traditional southwest flavors bottled with Northwest influence. I would strongly suggest you try this beer. If you don’t your loss. I bought a 22 oz bottle, comes very well packaged. Classy.
Bottle from g-will liquors...loved this beer tons of chocolate...not much on the pepper side....really good beer...loved it! GenDV138 (7285) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JUL 17, 2016
22 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Dark brownish black with with half a finger of quick fading light tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, dark fruit, caramel. Tastes of dark and milk chocolate, caramel, maple roasted pecans, a hint of hot pepper towards the end. Medium body with a dry finish. Seems to have aged fairly well. hotstuff (5160) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 26, 2015
Rated on 7-18-2015 at Three Rivers Brew Review, Fort Wayne, IN. (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is a small tan head with a long retention, opaque brown body and virtually no lacing. The aroma is chocolate, sweet, lightly spicy, and caramel malt. The flavor is chocolate, lightly spicy, malt, and light chili. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. A very quaffable beer that is worth a try. tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015
A little watery. Somewhat bitter dark chocolate flavors. Not really getting the chilis. Just decent.

This bottled brew from a beer festival poured a head of frothy light brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges dark brown colored body and a poor lacing. The almost non-existent aroma was malty. The semi-thick crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mediumly tingly finish with a lingering mild roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mildly acidic roasted malt dark malt and bread dough. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Dark brown color with small head. Aroma of beans, salad, green chili, hint of tobacco. Caramel flavor, missing a better malt depth, sweetish, with some chocolate, very low bitterness.
Nutty brown, a light head. Aroma has some light nuttiness, a hit of caramel, and a light molasses. Sweet up front and a blast of beer. Has a bit of alcohol late, along with syrup and brown sugar. A bit on the thin side. Ferris (15469) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 3, 2015
Bottle - Cocoa and chocolate and toffee. Cloudy brown with a decent beige head. Caramel and cocoa with a candy bar like finish. Decent. mcberko (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 3, 2015
650mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out a good mix of chilis, cocoa and cinnamon. Flavour brings out loads of cocoa upfront, with light chili spiciness, a touch of cinnamon, and more cocoa. Quite a cohesive mix of flavours, with the cocoa shining. Very pleasant stuff. drpimento (3641) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 8, 2015
A bit of a disappointment. Small short lived head, no lace. Aroma’s cocoa, a bit of spice. Flavor’s like nose, a little sweet and nutmeat (which don’t really work that well- off tastes) . Kind of forgettable for all the hoopla.
