(bottle - 22 oz) Dark copper pour with a thin white head. Aroma has a lot of bourbon in it followed by some bitter hops and a touch of vanilla. Bourbon fades sadly in the flavor and the hops take over leaving a bitter and slightly sweet aftertaste from the vanilla and bourbon barrel. Rrauth (1196) - North Carolina, USA - FEB 14, 2014
Draft at bottlemixx. This beer has it all going on except the vanilla. More vanilla then bourbon. Body and palate are awesome.

Waxed bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent dark copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is vanilla, bourbon and heavy malt. Med + body. Flavor is a little alcohol, vanilla, roasty malt, bourbon, astringent wood. Strong and flavorful stuff. Finishes pretty much toward woody and dry. It is just a little "rough". bu11zeye (13140) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 31, 2014
(22oz bottle, Winter 2013) Pours a brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, caramel, and wood. Flavor of bourbon, wood, caramel, bread, and vanilla. Homer321 (5170) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JAN 29, 2014
Draft. Vanilla brown in color with a vanilla white head. Slightly cloying sweetness. Kinda a sweetness of sugary bomb. A touch of astringent wood tannins. Meh

On tap @ Brick’s Pub. Mild aroma with some bourbon and maybe a little vanilla. Taste is boozy, malty with caramel - hardly any vanilla. Vanilla more evident in retronasal. Expected more vanilla! TimsRatings (421) - - JAN 19, 2014
Pours a murky brown/copper with just a touch of head. Very mild aroma hinting of vanilla and bourbon. The vanilla takes a commanding presence in the taste - well above any other flavor.
If you are as big of a fan of vanilla as I am of chocolate, you'll love this.

Pretty amber color with nice off white head. Oak and vanilla aromas mask a malty base. Caramel malts, oak, and alcohol mix is satisfying yet not quite ecstasy. jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 18, 2014
On tap at Bier Station. Pours a brown color with white head. Bourbon, vanilla, caramel, oak, malty aromas and flavors. Alright. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - JAN 11, 2014
on tap, pours a cloudy hazy plum color with a thin thick head that laces well. nice bold nose of oak and alcohol and malt. attack is a bit sweet, more like a barley wine. finish is a bit wet and muddy. still a good beer.
