Glen Falconer was passionate about friends, familly, and great IPAs. So in tribute, we’ve created an IPA worth of this master brewer. Made with Falconer’s Flight hops from Hopunion, LLC, a blend named for Glen himself. The result is a bright, moderately bitter IPA with stonefruit aromas and a strong malt backbone. We think Glen would approved. Proceeds from the sale of Falconer’s Flight hops go to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation, providing scholarships to professional and aspiring brewers. In addition, Widmer Brothers Brewing is making a donation to grant two additional scholarships. Learn more at www.glenfalconerfoundation.org. Prost! To true hop heads.

Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Dry, malty aroma, mellow and not hyper-hopped. Functional label, clear, ruddy light brown beer with a filmy head. Zippy hop flavor without being a hop bomb, pronounced dry caramel-toffee tones, toasted notes. Slippery mouthfeel with a crisp edge, under-the-tongue bitterness lasts a long time. Good balance, enjoyable. New Leaf Market.

Fatehunter (2567) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - FEB 1, 2013
Poured a finger of head on a cloudy, medium straw colored body. The aroma has a little floral element with a stronger lemon and grapefruit. Nice. The taste is a nice moderate bitterness, mostly lemon and pine. The malt backbone holds it together. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation and medium body. Here’s a solid IPA you can’t go wrong with.

Amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt and spicy hops. Taste is a nicely balanced ale. Dry finish that leaves a nice aftertaste,

Chudwick (3207) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - JAN 24, 2013
growler - pours clear amber/copper with ivory head and modest lacing. Nose is coniferous and citrus. Flavor adds muted malts, alcohol, light grapefruit and some resin. dry. moderate to heavy bitterness and light sweetness. light to medium body and easy to drink. lacks the tongue tingling bitterness of a good IPA, but the flavor is decent enough.

WarChef1 (24) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Bottle. Poured Amber to orange with light off colored head. Head did not stick around long, little to no lacing. (couldve been glass) Aroma was light on citrus hop and some peach notes. heavier malt on the nose.. Taste was bright with light grapefruit not much on the stone fruit per the description. Malt character was nice and bitterness was light. This is a good starter beer for people getting into ipas. Palate was light and clean, not a heavy beer. Crisp. Overall decent beer

Bottle in Portland OR. This is a bitter and hoppy IPA that does not offer much other than those features. Good if that’s all your after.

mjg74 (3106) - La Mesa, California, USA - JAN 8, 2013
Bottle from BevMo. Nose is somewhat sweet and lightly hopped with a slight pungent grapefruit smell. Dry and hopped up front with a good bit of sweetness. The hop character and the underlying sweetness mesh well. Well balanced and quaffable.
