The beer pours a clear orange color with a white head. The aroma is very fruity, with some grapes, cherries and pine notes mixed in with some toffee. The flavor is similar. I get orange and cherry with biscuit malt and a low amount of bitterness. I also get a little bit of pine, but the fruit notes from the hops stand out more. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not bad. drostj (113) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - APR 22, 2012
Bottle. Grassy aroma with a bit of peat; pale golden amber with a faint head. Strong hop flavor with just a bit of bitterness, and a nice malt flavor underneath that. Full, effervescent feel in the mouth. Smooth hoppy aftertaste. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - APR 21, 2012
On tap at The Library in Norman. Pours clear golden orange with a white head. Aromas of earthy hops, some citrus, and caramel malts. Flavors of earthy hops, caramel malts, bread, and some pine. Decent amount of bitterness, but body is a little thin. Average IPA. PorterPounder (7889) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 22, 2012
Tampa, FL - Whole Foods - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium copper-orange
with a sticky off-white head that leaves a fair amount of lacing. Aroma hasnice spruce accent with a noticeable floral background Flavor
is bitter with some nice pronounced grapefruit notes, a bit of apricots.
Caramel sweetness is detected in the backend. Sticky mouthfeel. Pretty
solid. KajII (800) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - MAR 11, 2012
Bottle. The pour was a medium copper orange with an average sized (1-2 finger) off white rocky head that had great retention, lasting throughout with some great sticky lacing.
The aroma was of caramel malts, floral and citrus hops and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel and grapefruit.
The taste was at first sweetly malty with a huge note of caramel and then slowly became nice and hoppy with a note of citrus (grapefruit) at the end. The flavor lasted a very long time proceeding the swallow with a good strong hoppy taste left on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was somewhere between light and medium in body and dry in texture with a prickly carbonation.
Overall an IPA that started mildly malty and a tad sweet but ended BIG in the hops department...

Nice floral slightly spicy hop aromas. Touch of caramel on nose. Pours nice bright copper with offwhite head. Taste is hop forward. Moderate bitterness, but no real malt presence. Somewhat a very traditional IPA (minus points for lack of any malt presence). Would drink again, but with so many other available IPA choices these days, probably wouldn’t pay for it. chris2431 (241) - Oregon, USA - FEB 15, 2012
bottle. better then the x-114 rotator but not as good as the o’ryely. a pretty average ipa really. mcox90 (2072) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 15, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours hazy copper/amber with a one finger off white head. Some lace. Aroma is predominately grapefruit with some orange zest. Taste mimics the aroma to the tee. Maybe some caramel malt. Full palate with a bitter finish. Very nice, very drinkable, if somewhat one diminsional. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Great looking pour! Nice amber body. Sweet caramel malt body with fruity character. Floral hops with a light sting. Moderate citrus and pine. burg326 (5479) - Florida, USA - JAN 11, 2012
On draft at the Brass Tap poured a honey color with bready and malt aromas. Not much hops on the nose, but did have a touch in the flavor that balanced out the malt and caramel flavors.
