Bottle from GBBF 2013 and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting thin white head. It’s hoppy yes. A little empty in the malts. It’s fine. Hoppy yes, bitter. It’s ok but lacks a touch of character. More hoppy and bitter on the finish. Decent though. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - AUG 19, 2013
On tap. Pours a clear dark yellow. No head or lacing. Nose is fant, a bit grassy with some malt maybe? Attack is a bit bipolar, there’s some hop and grass notes, but some Budweiser malt notes too. Finishes clean but unremarkably. badpuppy69 (321) - orange, California, USA - AUG 14, 2013

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a light copper color with decent white head. The nose is full of dank, herbal hops. Slightly sweet on the tongue. Nice herbal bitterness kicks in at the end. Light to medium body with a fairly crisp finish. Not half bad.

Pours a clear wheat color. Aroma is hops and citrus, lika an ipa. Taste is hoppy and bitter up frontwhich fades to grains. Interesting style, pulled off with aplomb Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - AUG 9, 2013
12 oz bottle- Pours a clear golden with a two finger head that reduces to a pillowy blanket and spotty lace. Aroma is hop forward, piney, maybe some lemon, clean. The taste is malty sweet, piney hops, bitter, it actually tastes like an Imperial pilsner, maybe a little thinner, less alcohol, but this is good, very crisp and refreshing. garthicus (2942) - Dublin, IRELAND - AUG 8, 2013
Bottle: appearance: vibrant cloudy yellow. Tiny white head. Aroma: Good citrus hops, fruity, grapefruit as well, a little grassy too. Flavour: nice crisp (hate using the word crisp but it suits) bitter with some good grassiness, simple, medium bitter and citrus finish. Clear amber color with ivory head. Nice earthy, spicy hop aromas with fresh bread. medium body, average carbonation. Spicy earthy hop flavors with caramel, white bread---crisp bitter finish----great hot weather hoppy brew. Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 4, 2013
A: Clear golden color and a body bursting with carbonation. Head is slightly white that diminishes.
N: A good amount of hops on the nose. Some pine needles and earth. A hint of citrus and pineapple.
T: Quite hoppy. There’s an element of bitterness here, but it’s got a noticeable biscuit/sweetness to prop it up so that it doesn’t overstay its welcome.
M: Light bodied like a lager with a decent dryness. Very clean.
O: An aggressive lager that shows how far Widmer has come along. Does a lot of things right, including allowing for the consumption of multiples if you’re so inclined. A little more complexity and this would be a real stunner at a great price.
