We’re turning things deliciously upside down with an aggressively hopped cold-fermented brew that brings together the clean crisp finish of a lager with the hoppy aroma and character of an IPA. PROST! To turning convention on its head.

Bottle. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Flowery. Heavy bitter flavor. Average heavy bitter finish. Oily palate.

bottle - Pours yellow-orange with a one finger off-white head. It smells of citrus hops. The flavor has some caramel malt and a good citrus hop character. So it’s a lager? Okay, it tastes like a pretty good IPA.

Lager meets IPA and the result is ... satisfying. Yellow-orange with a fine head. Grape dominates the aroma with further notes of metal and hay. Bitter with some alcohol noted in the distance. Nice.

Light orange colour, white head. Aroma of hops, caramel, toffee. Taste is light sweet, light to medium bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate lager yeast, pine, light florals, sweet cereal notes, and a touch of straw. It pours a transparent golden-orange with two finger white head that quickly fades to a thick film. There is a good amount of soapy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of light honey and grainy sweetness. The finish has light-moderate pine, lighter citrus, grapefruit, and a touch of grass. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, not bad, but not really my thing.

This beer really surprised me with how good it is....nice cloudy golden orange pour....sweetness on the nose with a pleasant hops mix.....flavor is crisp and full of hops with a perfect bite...a very pleasant drink.

Flaske. Klar gylden med et ok hvidt skum. Humlet næse, desværre i den i den græssede, let støvede stil. Der kompenseres for den manglende friskhed med en god fyldig næsten kikseagtig maltprofil. Bedre i munden end i næsen. Desværre endnu en ok, men middelmådig øl fra Widmer.

Definitely a good lager. Cloudy yellow body with short-lived white head. Pine aroma. Sweet grain and a touch of bitter hops in the taste. Achieves the crisp lager finish as described. Enjoyable.

Bottle from Supervalu, Kimmage, Dublin [300814] BBE 06/08/14
Blonde, fluffy white head, light haze
Aroma of soft sweet pale malts, citrus, soft zest, nice light malts
Taste of citrus bitter zest, light sweet pale malts, grapefruit zest
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bitter zest, soft sweet. Finish of bitter lingering zest
Overall - Seems to have held up well. Decent lager, but seems closer to a fairly strong APA
