Amber and slightly hazy. Thick head. Earthy hop nose, maybe with a little rye. Caramelly malt accent on the nose. Earthy hop bitterness, lots of fruity hops (papaya) and just a hint of rye chewiness late. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 19, 2012
Rather dark for an IPA; a dark shade of amber with an off-white head. Spicy hops and rye with some citrus notes. Grapefruit and orange peel with a hint of pine. Sweet caramel malt in there as well. The flavor is a bit sweeter/maltier than I’d like. Quite a bit of rye character to it. Spicy hops and rye with bitter pine and a bit of orange peel and grapefruit on the finish. bhensonb (15190) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 19, 2012
