Didn’t care for this one. Started off average and got worse. Spicy aroma nice enough but there’s not much to it. Too bland. Clear Amber. Flavor less boring but still boring. Thinking there may be a little age, but they don’t date." DocLock (10702) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 14, 2013
Bottles from Wegman’s Collegeville and Capone’s. Pours deep caramel colored with splotchy off-white head. Nose is a nice mangoey, piney, semi-feety aroma that reminds me of Simcoe and Citra, my 2 favorite hops, although a bit hot. Tastes rather hot, with a high IBU level, a lot of bitterness, rye malt-light, and some mangoey fruit. The flavor is a bit of a letdown after the smell. cubs (10636) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 19, 2013
Bottle @ home piced up at Wilbur’s Foco. I think I last had this four years ago at the brewery and enjoyed it. This pours a rust orange appearance with a cream colored head. Big spicy rye, spicy hoppy, mild skunk bud, piney aroma. Grapefruity, ganja, very spicy hoppy, big rye spicy, mild caramel flavor. Pretty fun beer to drink. I got this in a mix six pack, but I’d pick up a six pack. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JUN 15, 2012
Bottle. Light amber pour with a nice white head. Aroma is caramel malt, rye, and mild pine hop. Moderate mouthfeel. Taste is spicy rye, some malt, and muted pine hops. Very good. DuffMan (10435) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 11, 2013
Bottle. Bright copper-orange, crystal clear, medium white head. Lovely grapefruit hops aroma, very bright (even though I am certain this is nowhere near the bottled-on date). Zesty pink grapefruit hop flavour, underlying caramel malt, barely detectable rye spiciness. A really tasty IPA, rye or otherwise.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours bronze with a tiny off-white head and a crude oil aroma. There is a smooth rye flavor with a dry bitter finish. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 15, 2011
12oz bottle. Mildly hazy light brown / amber color, minimal off-white head. Nice rye grain here, nice spiced bready taste. Moderate but crisp carbonation, good dryness. Taste is bitter, but a bit savory. This is a pretty good rye IPA. Decent aftertaste. 3fourths (9347) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 27, 2011
bottle. clear amber. brighter hop nose than the previous variants but still far too dull and peaked for IPA, and the obligatory chalk / vitamin yeast dirtiness is still present, as is a metallic tin note. medium body, lightly chewy / syrupy across the middle, drying somewhat into a creamed orange / caramel malt / rye finish. spice is certainly there, and it’s a bit odd to have it linger so late but the hop acid hold its well, though the hop flavors seems to slowly gravitate towards a celery stew situation. it’s about the only nice thing about this beer. it’s ain’t bad, no, but it’s nothing special and when you’re putting out a new IPA and going for a "twist", you gotta bring more than this. this is pretty plain and uninteresting, and there’s enough of that out there already. blipp (9295) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAR 29, 2012
Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Light rye and sweet malty aroma with floral hops. The flavor has floral and lightly citric hops, with rye malts and a light sweetness. Decent. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - NOV 7, 2011
Bottle. Rich amber beer with a light tan head. Grapefruit aroma. Pine and grapefruit flavor with light earth and light spice. Medium bodied. Nice bitterness. Pine and grapefruit lingers with earth.
