Lots of citrus grapeqfruit in the aroma. Very citrusy and a bit dry at the same time. Sticks on the tongue a tad too long but at the least the nose lasts. jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - JUL 14, 2012

Appearance: Pours an orange cloud.
Aroma: Aroma is of pine, faint grapefruit.
Taste: Nice amount of bitterness, citrus.
Summary:A solid IPA, my favorite of the rotator series so far.
Apricot colored pour, white head. Aroma is sweet malt, citrus peel, grassy hops. Flavor is a nice mix of strong hops and caramel malt. Not bad at all. mikesaum (711) - Newark, Ohio, USA - JUL 14, 2012
Pours golden orange with an off white head. Aroma is grapefruit with some pine, smells a bit sweet. Taste is grapefruit rind and a bit of pine and resin, cramel malt behind it. Pretty good ipa vyvvy (6470) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - JUL 13, 2012
Not sure what’s happened here. Used to think of Widmer as putting out ’craft for the masses’ sort of thing, but I’ve really enjoyed some of the recent offerings. Not only are they good for the buck these days, but a lot of these are just downright good. This one pours light copper with a nice sized off-white head. The aroma is hop forward with grapefruit, spice, light funk, orange and a bit of malt to balance things out nicely. Medium crisp body with a modest amount of micro sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with lots of grapefruit, orange and clean toasty malt. There is lots of grapefruit which is probably from both the zest and hops bumping up those flavors. The finish is more of the same and quite dry, hoppy and grapefruity. Nicely done.

Mouth watering juicey red grapefruit nose with a little pine in the background. Grapefruit and more grapefruit, with a medium bitter finish. My new breakfast drink. Lacks some of the malt sweetness for balance. Very refreshing and fun to drink. bubbleflubber (2227) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUL 10, 2012
On draught at the Tilted Kilt in Myrtle Beach. Pours a deep golden/off-orange into the glass, with a wispy foamed head that reduces to soapy lace. A lot of peel and zest and light pine to the nose. Flavors follow the profile, a little thin on the malt backbone with bitters mingling with lots of peel, rind and zest toward a crisp bitter finish. Works ok for the summer heat, but not a heavy IPA. It certainly doesn't have to be, but just a bit seltzery for my liking.

Pours a clear gold with a medium white head...nice retention and lacing. Aroma is lightly floral...citrusy...orange. flavor has orange and grapefruit with mild pine in the end. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a dry citrusy/lt pine finish. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 8, 2012
12oz bottle, bottled 5/9/12. IPA brewed with grapefruit peels? My interest is piqued. Good thin off-white head, clear amber color, bubbles on the side of the glass. Bit of lace. Nice lighter crisp carbonation, dry finish. Nice straw and tropical hop flavor. Less grapefruit than I was expecting, though - it’s a lot more subdued than the much hoppier ales that make me think "grapefruit". Solid crisp malt base. Light bitter flavor. Drinkable and decent, but unimpressive and a bit weak on the flavor. Interesting brew, though. bryanbph (2) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 7, 2012 does not count
Great smooth IPA. Not overly heavy and can enjoy on a hit summer afternoon. Grapefruit flavor comes through and aroma is pleasing. My local beer store can't keep it in stock
