COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
People sometimes describe the aromas and flavors of hoppy IPAs as “grapefruit.” Hell, why not use some then? Widmer’s brewing team used a simple IPA recipe and added a generous amount of dried grapefruit peel to the end of the boil. The aroma is a melody of citrus, with a slight spice undertone, accentuated by the use of Citra hops. The flavor is that of nice hop forward IPA with the bitterness of grapefruit.

Light haze on this amber beer. Tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and smooth with a little fine carbonation. Nice hops - nettley pine and tangy sherbet ciitrus. Finishes smooth with an intense hoppy aftertaste. Really like the sherbet character here.

Draught at Beer Authority, NYC. Golden beer with a nice white head, leaving nice lading in the glass. Pineapple aroma, peach, grapes, mango, pine needles, hay, fruit cocktail, citrus, dry grassy, pine, juniper berries. Hoppy peach flavor, pineapple, woody, citrus, grapefruit notes. Very refreshing and rather on the fruity side. Full bodied and with a pleasant hop, grass and peach finish. Fresh American IPA:s should be brewed in Sweden instead!!!

Hazy amber w thin head. Aroma is kind if stale hop, but lots of it w piney notes. Fruity, w lots of pithy bitterness and it is quite a robust, fresh ipa, despite what I smelled at first.

Pours a clear golden orange with a white head. Tons of grapefruit aroma to this. Nice and citric, some tangerine, a hint of orange peel, and some pine. Floral and pine notes are well represented as well. Minimal malt character. The flavor is heavy on the citric quality of the grapefruit. Moderate bitterness with minimal malt flavor and sweetness. Light floral hop character followed by pine and a touch of grass.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours very light amber with a sturdy bubbly/foamy off-white head. Aroma of resin and light cat pee. Med body or better. Flavor is amazing. Citrus/pine followed by ? which quickly becomes very firm grapefruit rind. So we’re talking grapefruit zest here? And pink grapefruit or "normal"? It’s damn bitter. This has almost as much grapefruit as Pink Killer, but it’s so much more "normal". If you want your mouth twisted, try this one.
