Bottled. Cinnamon and clove aroma. Pine and some anise. Peppery, black tea taste, hides the booziness well. This is surprisingly complex, though I can’t say I favor a spiced IPA. Shink (177) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 28, 2012
The worst of the Rotators but still not too bad. Spicy, hoppy smell and taste. Very nice golden color but leaves me needing something to quench my thirst. mcox90 (2088) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - APR 27, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a 1/2" creamy off white head. Some spotty lace. Aroma is fruity with pine notes. Flavor is a melange of tropical fruits, grapefruit and black tea. Quite tasty, although the palate really wouldn’t take more than one at a sitting. Moderate bodied with a mildly bitter finish. Quite an interesting brew. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - APR 26, 2012
Truth in advertising for sure. I get some serious tea notes in the aroma. A melange of black and chamomile to me. There is a bunch of bitterness lurking underneath that initial tea. Then the spices pile on the wagon as well. Kind of wears out the palate though. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - APR 25, 2012
4/25/12. 12oz bottle. Clear golden pour with a small off-white head. Citrusy, spicy, aroma with plenty of hops. Slightly bready, grainy flavor with more hops and light spice. Nice, but I was hoping for more tea and spice.

Clear gold with a white head. Aroma hits with cardamom, lemon grass, fresh cut grass, lime zest. Flavor is spicy, lime, cardamom, pepper, yeast, grassy hops. Cool stuff! Ttrunk (58) - California, USA - APR 23, 2012
The aroma was good. I liked the hops with the spices. I
I enjoyed this beer. BrewBoxer (2636) - New York, New York, USA - APR 22, 2012
Bottle, Tan color with a nice head that remains. Smells of spice, pepper and corriander. Hoppy and well balanced. Very nice drinkable and different IPA DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 20, 2012
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear straw colored with 1-finger frothy white head. Nose is citrus, hops, spices, with black pepper, mango, and pale malt. Tastes malty, with the spices hitting at mid-palate, and a medium finish. The tea seems to clash with the other spices a bit, and although this isn’t bad and I give huge credit for originality, the ingredients seem to lose cohesiveness late. Consolidated reviews of a whole bunch of 12oz bottles. Pours golden amber, whitish head. Aroma varies - some tea, some spices, some pepper, some hops. Taste is hops modified by some of the above. Finish is smooth. Very interesting beer, not among the normal IPA range and definitely tasty. One of the better spiced beers I’ve had, but just isn’t my thing. Would probably be a good "crossover" beer.
