(12oz bottle) clear gold with ring of white bubbles. Nose of cinnamon, allspice, celery, cilantro, quite earthy. Taste of cilantro, spicy, lightly citrusy and hoppy, citrus peel, orange pulp, and more. Dry and bitter finish. Leaves you thirsty. Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - APR 8, 2012
Bottle from Kroger. Yellow orange pour with a big off-white head. Aroma is very spicy and sweet. Taste is lots of bread, lots of earth, and lots baking spice. Especially ginger and cinnamon. dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - APR 7, 2012
On tap at the gingerman Plano. Pours a deep yellow wirh a medium white head. The aromas are peach, light citrus and grass. The mouthfeel is dry bitter and has a medium body Ashe good casrbonation. Cheers! BillKismet (4058) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 6, 2012
Golden orange with fluffy, airy white head. Lively bouquet of hops and spices dances off the glass. Citrusy hop, some herby cardamom, ginger, and a mysterious medley of aromatic infusions please the senses. The body is complex, zingy, and twangy. Some hop bitterness, and also acerbic, tannic spicing that adds a "greenness" to the flavor. A tad bit of hop skunk on the finish. Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 6, 2012
Draught at Zeke’s on a lot of occasions. Golden amber and bright with a thin head. Heavily spiced nose with pepper, cardamom and maybe mace. Fresh, refreshing, with lots of fruity, floral spice, and earthy, bitter hops. The hops level is so perfect, and the spices go together with those hops so well, that this beer is just exceptionally easy to drink. I’ve had a lot of these.1

An interesting and unique brew. Flavor was medium hoppy and the spice was a light pepper. Not as richly flavored as I had imagined. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - MAR 30, 2012
Bottle: Medium gold pour with a bubbly white head.
strong aroma of black tea, cinnamon, ginger, lighter clove, some woody/herbal hop and caramel as well. Very Chai like.
Flavour has a lot of things going on. Unsweetened black tea, orange zest, Ginger, clove, some of the black pepper coming through as well for me. The finish goes a bit over steeped tea bitter with lingering cardamon and cinnamon spice.
An interesting blend. Not horrible.
Surprised to see this weigh in at 7%

Tap. Pours clear copper with a trace of fizzy white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is floral hops, caramel and biscuit malt, citrus fruit, and light spice. Flavor is mostly malt, average hops, and vegetable notes; dry, hoppy finish. Medium body, carbonation, and warmth. Terminus (3683) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 29, 2012
bottle-pours lite orange with a small soapy white head around the rim of my glass with moderate carbonation flowing up the pint. nose of citrus/floral hops, lots of spice (cinnimon, nutmeg, ginger, lite vanilla. pretty cool twist on the style. flavors exhibit alot of the spice, but more of a piney/grapefruity hop flavor instead of the citrus that you would expect from the nose. body is well balanced verging on lite but makes this easy to drink. even though the spice is very evident on every sip, its never too much. a very well put together beer from WIdmer, who i think has improved imensely over the past 5 yrs.
