From bottle I forgot about ~1 year old and from memory. Foam spilled out as soon as I uncapped. Pours hazy copper with white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of malts and grains, floral hops, and chai tea. After slowly enjoying first sip I’m surprised how good it tastes. Starts malty grain followed by floral hop bitterness. The beer finishes with a chai tea that lingers on the palette. Spices I taste include ginger, clove, cardamom, chocolate, anise, and black tea. Very drinkable especially considering the age. Not really an IPA but still tasty. Braudog (6836) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Bottle. This erupted with foam, but quickly settled into a muted-orange, hazy beer. There’s a bit of an herbal aroma that hints at something a bit different. Indeed, this beer drinks with a broad spectrum of crazy flavors -- my palate not nearly enough to pull the right specifics. I still get a west-coast-like hoppiness lurking beneath, but it’s mingled in with Saison-reminiscent herbs and spice. Can’t say I really like it, but appreciate the artistry and decent balance. Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad.
The beer appears clear and golden yellow hued with a lasting white head that leaves good lacing on the snifter. The aroma is quite unusual for sure, offering spices and cracked pepper atop a resinous hop bill. This recipe was well executed and fun to sample, but there is only so much spiced IPA I could enjoy in a session. Interesting and worth a try. A small serving is plenty.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with a white head. Nutmeg, citric hops, iced tea, light toasted malts, and light floral notes. Decent. TheHOFF43 (2052) - Robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA - NOV 29, 2012
Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with only a little head. Aroma of various spices and hops. Flavor is hops with a mix of spices. Quite interesting.

Malt and ginger aroma. Amber, thin head. Lemongrass and cardamom flavor, orange flesh base, pretty weird. Finishes wirh orange peel. Spicing is distracting and adds nothing useful. LeRose (79) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 31, 2012
Not a big fan. Weak, watery, overly spiced and unbalanced. Maybe just too much spice to it or something. Too difficult to drink and try and unravel. Did not find this beer enjoyable. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Pours clear gold with off white lacing. Lots of spice on the nose: cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and nutmeg. Full-bodied palate is hoppy but well balanced with a great spice presence on the back palate and the finish. This is a Really enjoyable fall beer. jjgmd (2248) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - OCT 10, 2012
Pours a hazy orange yellow with a small head. Nose is all grapefruit and peaches with some pine, quite arousing. Taste is very different than the nose, taste is a myriad of spices with a bite. Fresh pine also predominates and quite peppery. No sweetness in this brew. Finish is long, carbonation is soft. Different complex IPA. Pours orange with a white head and aroma of peaches and hops. Taste is of hops, pine, citrus, peach, and all the spices with a bitter finish. Interesting brew, enjoyable spiced IPA
