Draft at the brewpub. Bright and clear yellow. Taste of fresh grass, hay, pine. Taste has balanced bitterness, not over the top. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 14, 2011
A: The beer pours a clear golden orange color with a finger of white head.
S: Smells nice and citrusy with a moderate sweetness to it. Some light tropical fruitiness with some hints of peach. Nice grapefruit and orange notes and a hint of malt sweetness to the beer.
T: Plenty of sweet citrus and other fruit flavors. Not terribly bitter, but enough pine notes to keep it from being too sweet. Some bready malt notes and perhaps a hint of caramel.
M: Medium in body with a moderate level of carbonation.
O: Not an overly amazing IPA, but it had a nice flavor and was really easy to drink. bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 12, 2009
Pours amber gold with a white smear. Large citrus aroma - with resin/spice? Flavor is citrus, then heads toward resin. It is clean and refreshing. Finishes smoothly bitter. Ratman197 (14834) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUL 22, 2011

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy smooth bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy bitterswwet finish of medium to long duration. This a very good brew.

"maybe i’m missing something here, but i saw nothing to make me think this is a 90th percentile beer. avg ipa with all the great ones out there. some bitter orange and pine on the nose, well balanced with a little sweet malt in the flavor. nothing wrong with it, but nothing stands out either. surprising given how much i’ve liked citra hops. i may try again for the price, though."
