Very nice refreshing summertime beer fits the Kolsch style quite well. nice golden color. a slight hint of hop flavor dry taste leaves you wanting more. Great job here Widmer Bros.
Grainy citrusy and yeast aromas come from this hazy yellow brew. The flavor is citrusy and hoppy with an underlying sweetness and a green kinda bitter aftertaste. It's crisp and refreshing smooth east drinking. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - JAN 2, 2015
From the 30 Beers for 30 Years bottle. Light golden with plenty of head. Aroma is grass and biscuit. Taste is lightly bitter hops, lemon, biscuit, and a touch of sweetness. Refreshing and smooth. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 23, 2010

7/19/08 On draught at the Brewpub. Aroma is light, bready and grainy. Appearance is clear yellow with a well maintained white head. Flavor is sweet malt forward, grainy, slightly sour with low noble bittering. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a strong spritzy carb texture. Overall, not bad, but low on character. Had this beer on 8/11/1999. Color is a light gold with a little bit of haze in it. Carbonation is light with a light head. Aroma is a light sour malt scent. Taste crisp and bitter. It starts with a light crisp body that goes down with a sharp feel. The finish is bitter but clean. Overall its one of the better Kolschs I’ve had, yet it seems to be lacking something.

On draught at the Widmer brewpub in downtown Portland. Sampled during ABA Beer Tour 07. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a thick white head with good retention. Aroma of light malt, citrus peel, some green vegetables and a touch of garlic? This is a first time I’ve encountered garlic in a Kölsch. Taste is highly carbonated, light bodied, with flavors of light malt and citrus. Finish is clean, crisp with a vegetable aftertaste. A little dry compared to most other Kölsch’s I’ve tried. This is another great beer for a hot summer day............................. oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 28, 2005
Pours a golden yellow/amber. Aromas of lemon, grains, celery. Flavor is crisp, dry, sweet malt, and a mild hop. Tom Servo (424) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 14, 2005
I don’t know why I get my hopes up anymore for Widmer stuff. They’ve disappointed me a lot. This one smells fairly hoppy, but the aroma fades quickly. Pours a very light yellow, with a quickly diminishing head. Flavor is thin, hoppy, with touches of malt. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. Not great, but I’ve had worse. Well this looks different from the Kolsch beers I have had before..but then I have only had two others..so maybe this is true type..well it pours a light golden colour , with a livellt head that does not last long soon dissapears altogether,,no lacing
Theres a pretty strong smell of zesty type hops ..and some malt''almost like some European lagers.
Taste..is livelly nice sweet malt a short "zing" of hops and its gone does not hang around.
Pretty average on the tongue..not dry wee bit watery.
Its an average brew but that makes it a good drinker in hot weather.
