Brass-amber color with some froth of head. Does not remotely resemble a wheat beer, and not at all cloudy. More akin to an amber in appearance and a Britt pale ale in aroma, flavor, and body. Dank, stagnant Britt hop aroma, with a stagnant hop flavor. Bradrcr (806) - Renton, Washington, USA - FEB 9, 2008
1/19/08 On draught at the Portland brewhouse. Aroma is faint, with fruity, slightly candilike malt dominating. Appearance is clear copper with a moderate off-white head. Flavor is light as well, with sweet, grainy malt dominating and a low earthy flavor; bittering is moderate with decent flora. Mouthfeel is fairly dry with low carb feel and medium body; no spritzy wheat texture. Overall, fairly good, interesting, with no clashing. BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - FEB 7, 2008
Bottle: Uh, crimson color, nice head and lacing. Nose of thick chewy malts, nice husk and caramel. Some musk and wheat. The flavor is malty, nice hops, husky though. Finishes hoppy, acidic, no transcendence. DickDunnigan (26) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 5, 2008
Crystal-clear medium red color, with a quickly evaporating head. Faint malt aroma. Thin wheat taste. Maybe filtering this beer to achieve the brilliant color robbed the flavor usually found in a wheat beer. OK beer, just not much that stands out. I look forward to to W09. Thought it would be better...poured a off white head, which didn’t last too long...Aroma was ok, aroma of malt, no hops detected. Dark amber color. Now, for the flavor. It was a good wheat beer, but was not unique in any way, and to quote the last poster, "Highly Boring", has a sweet malt flavor and I think I detect a little honey as well???.....but it is a good beer non the less.

From a 12oz. bottle--Poured a light but deep ruby body with a average white head. Nose of small malts and some dry wheat. Not much yeast or hops profile. Very sessionable and highly boring. AlabastorJones (815) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 2, 2008
clear ruby with a thin minimaly laced head, munich malt nose, swet malts, thin palate, dry wheat finish, no boldness yeast or hop in flavor, weak and lager like, not a substantial wheat beer . .. . blagnuts pintsize (1041) - Austin, Texas, USA - FEB 1, 2008

Clear brown, no head. Smell is malty and yeasty. Watery bland malt flavor. Just two words acn sum this one up for me... SNOOZE FEST!
Pours a copperish color into the glass with a small tan head that pretty much fizzles out. Aroma is nice and malty with lots of caramel grains coming out. Taste is sweet and toasty. I really actually like this offering from Widmer. lb4lb (2628) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 31, 2008
Pours a clear copper color with a very light beige head. Smell is kind of funky and fruity. Taste is more malty and toasty and richer than expected in an American wheat beer. Perhaps a light wheat flavor in there, along with caramel, but not identifiable as a wheat, really. Very drinkable, simple gateway beer.
