Im Biergarten der Brauerei getrunken. Rotbraun mit stabiler Schaumkrone. Mildes Karamell im Antrunk, dann wässrig werdend. Werckmeister (3111) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - NOV 27, 2015
0,2l on tap at the brewpub as "Wieden Bräu Dunkles 11.6° Stammwürze". strong smell of caramel, some chocolate, light spices. light body, soft carbonation, light mouthfeel. tastes of caramel, spices, light vegetables, some roast, licorice, hints of ash. finishes dry with some roast and spices and vegetables. decent beer, unfortunatly the vegetable notes are a bit distracting, could have been better.. Appearance-brown, clear, tan foam,
Taste-light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour,
Palate-medium body, slick feel, average carbonation, long finish,
Overall-very interesting ElDesmadre (3626) - Mikołów, POLAND - JUN 5, 2015
Draught at the brewpub. And for the third time... DMS, DMS, DMS. Oh, some shy grainy coffee note somewhere far in the back. Otherwise, this is just corn and cooked vegetables. It takes some skill to brew a dark beer that would be dominated by DMS to such a degree. Moretum (141) - Vienna, AUSTRIA, AUSTRIA - MAR 31, 2015
On tap at Wiedenbräu. Hazy brown colour with a beige head. Light roasted malts with some caramel. Aroma is caramel and light dark chocolate with medium malts. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Enjoyed more the other standard beers. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - MAY 2, 2014
bottle, purchased at the brewery. Hazy brown, creamy beige head. Medium-bodied, malty with caramel and chocolate, somy shy but nice aromatic hops. Well balanced. Gurthnar (5816) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - MAR 7, 2014
Tap at the brewpub. Aroma washing cloth, soapy, not the least bit good. Some very light dark, caramel malts in the background. Beige head, moderate duration. Clear dark ruby-brown colour. Taste got more of the same as aroma. A little coffee makes appearance, also caramel. But overall a disappointment. Flawed beer.
