Draught at the brewpub. Mild roasted aroma. Dark brown colour, seems cloudy. Stable plasticky light brown head. Good roasted flavour, mostly like fresh coffee. Lumpy mouthfeel from the head. Hint of mild vinous malt in the finish. madmitch76 (24378) - , Essex, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2013

At the Brewpub. As ’Dark Beer’. Clear deep amber beer, tidy off white head. Softish palate, smooth. Creamy malt, a little caramel and marmite. Mild minerals. Finishes neutral. Fresh.
Draught at the brewpub. Brown, hazy body, with medium, creamy, beige head. Light aroma of yeast, chocolate, roasted malt. Tastes of yeast, dark chocolate, caramel, nut, coffee, roastyness, some dried fruits. Medium to thin mouthfeel, with a strong carbonation and it finishes roasty and slightly bitter, with coffee and some nut. Not bad, but too thin and somehow unbalanced. rickgordon (3874) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 13, 2010
Draught at the brewpub.
Brown colour. Creamy head. Toasty nose, along with chocolate. Flavour is dominated by milk chocolate in a light body. Pretty one-dimensional for a dunkel, and no nuttiness at all. yespr (44805) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2010
From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma is breadish malty, vague butterish and with a mild liqourice to toffee malt note. Ends sweet and persisting butterish without being overly so.

Dark amber-brown body, off white head. Heavily buttery nose, caramel too. Sourish yoghurty malty taste, unimpressive. Moretum (144) - Vienna, AUSTRIA, AUSTRIA - MAR 31, 2015
On tap at Wiedenbräu. Hazy brown colour with a beige head. Light roasted malts with some caramel. Aroma is caramel and light dark chocolate with medium malts. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Enjoyed more the other standard beers. Werckmeister (3126) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - NOV 27, 2015
0,2l on tap at the brewpub as "Wieden Bräu Dunkles 11.6° Stammwürze". strong smell of caramel, some chocolate, light spices. light body, soft carbonation, light mouthfeel. tastes of caramel, spices, light vegetables, some roast, licorice, hints of ash. finishes dry with some roast and spices and vegetables. decent beer, unfortunatly the vegetable notes are a bit distracting, could have been better.. Draught @ Wieden Brau, Vienna, Austria. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, wood, light spice, light dark fruit. Flavor is light thin, malt, caramel, wood, light fruit. Thin to medium body, average carbonation. Somewhat thin. 140816 fiulijn (20411) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 29, 2009
Draught at the brewpub, 11.6°P
Hazy brown color. Creamy head. The aroma, though not too strong, shows some roasted malt, as well as the flavor. It reminds me a modern, Scandinavian Stout, dry; surely not a Dunkel. Unexpected, yet not badly brewed.
