Orange/amber coloured, small off-white head, dusty mild caramel nose. Sweet malty, light caramel and bready taste with notes of brown sugar. Not so pleasant metallic touch in the finish. Rather boring dunkel.
Bitterhop and caramel nose.
Red chestnut color.
could have more flavor.
Guidobald is a lightweight.

The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts malty and dry, a bit rusty, modest fruity notes of raisins and some liquorice. Finish milder but not washy, well balanced and quite drinkable. Not bad!

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2015 50cl bottle bb04/2015, Maruhn. Sweet and slightly savoury aroma of fresh brownies and roasted almonds, some tree bark and honey pops. Really shines in taste: rustic bread crust with delicious milk chocolate (artisanal Nutella), cream and cocoa powder, coffee powder spice. Great balance and clear expression of clear, rustic flavours rarely to be had this side of bottom-fermented traditions, or any bottled Dunkel. If more regional Dunkels were like this and made more widely available, imported porter/stouts (recipes) would be given more of a run for their money. // Rerate full 50cl bottle bb11/2015, Maruhn as "Guidobald Export Dunkel" this time - Export how? Bottle. Very caramelly aroma, with lighter notes of chocolate and sweet pale malt. Flavourwise this one is also huge on caramel, with subtle notes of pale malt and nuts. Unexpectedly dry taste. Boring.
