Bottle 50 cl. Pours dark brown with a reddish note and a small head. Notes of caramel, roasted, toffee. Good strong but easy drinkable taste. Great doppelbock.

Is that maple sirup I taste? Love the roasted flavour with hints of plums and ofcourse chocolaty caramel energy in this brew. Didnt expect is was this good, so this brew really grew on me!

330 ml bottle at a bar in Salzburg.
Copper-brown body, with a big, creamy, lacing, beige head.
Aroma of caramel, molasses, dark spiced bread, toast, some cocoa some dark fruits.
Tastes similar, quite sweet, with some more honey, some grass.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium roasty, toasty, a bit sweet, a bit wooden, a bit bready, slightly grassy.

Nice one. Pretty much on the sweet side, but still with some roasty and toasty notes. I really like the dark, spicy bread notes. Overall not outstanding, there are quite a lot of better style examples from Bavaria, but solid enough.

Aus der Flasche getrunken (GP Dessau). Ziemlich malzig, ansonsten nicht doll. Es gibt Besseres.

On tap at Wieninger Brau Gaststatte. Bright red color, thick creamy offwhite head, plenty of lacing. Aroma of syrup, caramel, cherry, currant, malva-tea, roseberry. Quite complex. Taste is a bit sourish, surprisingly, with soapy notes. Medium to full body long sourish finish. Quite alcohol-heavy, got me flying and then crashed down (after 1L of other beer btw). Wohoo.

Countbeer (6589) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2015
Bottle (50cl): Served in a glass Stein: Medium sized creamy head. Brown colored beer. Aromas of malts, molasses, fruit, flowers, sweet hints, light nutty, prunes, freshly washed clothes and some dark (sweet) tones. Very nice! Flavours of bitters, malts, caramel, dark fruit like prunes, some sweet nuts, dried leaves, herbal(,) toast, dried leaves, hint of wood/bark, delicious stuff. Aftertaste is bitter, malty, light caramel, light fruit and herbal tints with a toasty edge. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, more than medium bodied. Good stuff!

(Wieninger Impulsator) Swing top bottle 500 ml at home, served into a snifter, ABV 7.5% Red to light brown colour on the body, small tan head, a bit thin, with low retention, leaving light lacing around the glass. Aroma of caramel, light nuts, faint toffee that becomes stronger as it warms up. Taste also of caramel, some floral touches, toffee on the finsh and the aftertaste, quite sweet. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Slightly sticky palate. Overall okay.
