A gold coloured Spezial beer, brewed especially for the most beautiful hours of the year. The Privatbrauerei M.C. Wieninger wishes you a Merry Christmas. This beer that’s strong of character is for the peaceful time, strong when drunk, but nevertheless reservedly full tasting, with noticable pleasant bitterness; gold in appearance.

   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20

bottled as Winterbier; Zitroniger Geruch, leicht floral. Süßlicher Auftakt. Mittig würzige Züge, aromatisch. Würzig-aromatischer Abgang, leicht malzig und feinherb. Gutes Bier.

alkolord (616) - - DEC 29, 2016
Orange trüb, wenig Schaum, malzig in der Nase, malziger antrunk, leicht stechende bittere im Abgang, leider nichts besonderes

Gangstergafje (1309) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - DEC 25, 2016
The beer has a normal look. It isn’t that special. The color of the beer is golden yellow. On top or the beer a nice crispy layer of white foam is formed. The bulk of the foam collapses quickly, leaving a thin drape. The beer itself is very clear. The beer doesn’t look any better than your average pilsener.
The smell of the beer is rich in malts. The malts have a bready or doughy character. There are some bitter aroma’s of hops. The smell isn’t bad, but it’s just really simple. It is a true fest beer, simple and easily drinkable.
The taste of the beer is a bit better than the smell. It’s a bit stronger. There is a nice and strong malt flavour. It contains the same rather sweet bread aspects. It is quite a nice flavour. It is balanced by a nice crisp hoppy bitterness. The sweets and bitters go together very well. It is a good taste.
The palate is nothing to special. The beer has a medium-light body, a slightly creamy body, medium-light carbonation and a medium finish, containing nice bitter hop flavours. Not a bad beer, but not extremely special either.

Swing-top bottle 50cl. As Wieninger WinterFestbier. Clear medium golden, large frothy white head, mostly diminishing, good lacing; aroma is malty, some caramel, bit yeasty; taste is medium sweet and light bitter, with average duration, sweetbitter finish; medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation; decent Märzen.

jann3 (417) - Espoo, FINLAND - JAN 1, 2016
Clear golden with a white foamy head. Sweetish and malty aroma with a hint of floral notes. Taste is mild and malty. Finishes with moderate bitterness. A very basic Festbier. (0,5l swing-top bottle, bb 19.04.2016)

Had this as Wieninger Winter Festbier. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts milder than exspected, malty, more and more spicy. Light sourish background. Finish still a bit too mild. Okay.

HopfenWeisse (1558) - - DEC 22, 2014
Clear golden color with medium head. Aroma is malt and some grain. Flavor is malt, sweet.

stevoj (5639) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 25, 2014
Pale golden color, small foamy head.. Malty, bready, slightly flowery aroma. Salty, malty flavor with cooked oatmeal and clove. Medium bodied. Average christmas/festbier.

Erzengel (9617) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUN 20, 2014
