This is a full-strength beer containing 5.4% by vol. alcohol, which is spicy and not too strongly hopped. Stammbräu harks back to the optimistic mood of the early days, still prevailing here, and is advertised with period illustrations from shortly after the turn of the century. Stammbräu is only available in the traditional cliplock bottles, which have been re-introduced. Particularly in the Vienna area. 12.6°

Barva: světlá zlatá. Pěna hustá, držící. Vůně: svěží sladová. Chuť: řízné pivo s výraznou sladovou chutí a chmelovým dozvukem. Středně hořké. Velice pitelné pivo.

Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, Austria. This golden lager has a sweet malty and caramel flavour with fruity floral notes and a lemon finish.

fdomig (1028) - München, GERMANY - MAY 11, 2013
500ml bottle. Aroma is light hops and citrus. A pale golden color with a light foam. Unusual sweet taste with light bitterness. Very lively carbonation. Leaves a lighe, clove-ish, mouth feel. Very short finish. Overall probably one of the better Austrian "default" beers. However, not my favorite.

500 ml bottle. L351C2. BB 02/2013. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear golden colour with a average sized white creamy head. The aroma is dry malty with mild hops and minerals. The flavour is pretty much the same. Malt, dryness, mild hops, minerals and mild fruity sweetness. Very drinkable. Slightly boring.
