75cl 2013 vintage, ZBF tombola, shared 12/2014 @Post-Nikolaus tasting. Some bessenjenever and compote in aroma, some fumes as well. Graceless composition split between heavy, rough malt caramels, unguided speculatius spice, free-floating booziness and a late sharp herbal hop bitterness. Either flawed at the origin or not the best ager - the tripel hops can’t have been too prominent at the start. The silly provincial 80s label does really not help to elevate the overall impression.

shared by bartlebier. Really not among my favourite styles. Cloying honey, sugar water, sirupy mouthfeel.

Bottle thnx to belgiuminabox Pours amber/copper . Fluffy and resistand , thick white head . Smell is caramelized malts . Taste is very , very nice . Sweet ( thick , malty ) with hoparoma ( no bitterness ) , some caramelized character . Very balanced , with perfect carbonation . Super drinkable . Nice , sweet , perhaps bit roasty finish . Very nice

Christmas beer made cheaply: this is apparently a blend of 2/3 Wieze Tripel Blond and 1/3 Wieze Tripel Bruin. Off-white head, cloudy amber colour. Malt sweet, honeyish, a bit sugary even, orange juice, cinnamon, coriander, mild aromatic hoppiness in the finish but certainly not the hops you’d expect from a beer labelled as a ’tripel hop’.

Sept. ’13. Hazy dark amber to brownish color, with fast! deminishing off-white head. Aroma: sweet, caramell, malts, soft fruity. Medium body. Taste: sweet, caramel, fruits, and little hops.

Koelschtrinker (21175) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAR 15, 2014
Süßer, getreidig malziger Antrunk. Zuckrig, wenig hopfig, leichte Kräuternoten. Getreidiger Nachhall. 7/8/6/7/6/7

DAA; Pours hazy brownish, amber with fast! deminishing off-white head. Aroma is caramell, malty, slight fruity and nutty. Taste mirrors, but less -add sweet, honey, marshmallows, assorted candy and sirup. Medium body, sticky texture and low carbonation. Lasting sweeetness in finish.

Bottle. Murky brown color, small white head that settles quickly. Aroma of pure caramel. Taste is spiced sweet caramel. Hops are gone, I think.

Anbrata schiuna media non molto persistente nocciola mandorla amareto tendenza dolce caramello ma il luppolo?

Leepe_steven (205) - Lede, BELGIUM - APR 28, 2013
Colour is dark amber. Aroma is caramel, malts. Taste is very very sweet, malty, bready, has some hop bitterness to it. Tends to get boring quickly because of the sweetness.
