This is a great winter lager due to the smooth, almost malty, mild honey finish with slight hoppy taste that makes this an enjoyable lager that I could drink throughout the year.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast, light zesty citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a citrus, resin hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I’m quite surprised at the relatively low ratings. This tap version certainly deserves a higher score. It’s not your ordinary lager. keenimeeni (21) - KINGSTON, AUSTRALIA - DEC 18, 2013
Poured and Shared with Rock_Buffalo and Shark_Pants, a transparent gold with a short, disappearing head, a mild aroma of honey and hops with what I’ll call a bakery taste - yes, it took me straight back to a bakery so suggest breads, malts, slight hops and a touch of something sweet, barely discernible. Easy on the palate, light body. Interesting but simple, maybe I expected more? Will have to try more! Shark_Pants (764) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 7, 2013
Rating possibly affected due to the beers I had prior to this (Gouden Carolus Classic & Straffe Hendrik Quad). Light flavor of caramel and bread with some bitterness. Very thin mouthfeel.

Bottle from Plonk (best before Nov 2012). Clear copper/gold, quickly dissipating head, tasted a bit flat, biscuity malt, mild bitterness, not a lot else happening. Past it’s best but ok despite that. deusax (459) - Grenoble, FRANCE - FEB 26, 2012
Tasted on tap @ The Great Kiwi Beer Festival 2012 in Christchurch. Dry, bitter palate, with a malt flavour omega (900) - NEW ZEALAND - NOV 21, 2011
Doesn’t bode when you crack the top and your beer decides it wants out asap (sorry keyboard). Aroma is a bit muted and on the whole a beer that while is easy enough to drink, but does not engage my IIPA senses. gam (4037) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 27, 2009

Bottle, enjoyed with some excellent take-away from the Indian Cafe in Nelson. Pours a deep brassy golden with a frothy white head. Grainy aroma with hints of orchad fruits. Clean grainy palate, medium bodied, with some soft fruity hops in the finish. Quite nice, and a good pairing with our dinner. nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, AUSTRALIA - APR 11, 2009
Draught. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt and floral notes. Good flavour of sweet malt, caramel and citrus. Medium bodied with a lingering bitterness.
