COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Epic by name, epic by nature, this Farmhouse Ale is a transcontinental fusion of Belgiums eclectic beer culture and the feisty hops of North America brought to life with the aid of West Country artisanal brewing wizardry and judicious use of the US-grown Sorachi Ace hop. On the nose, the hops deliver a big splash of tropical fruit, followed by ripples of well-seasoned spiciness spreading outwards. In the mouth a tangy, bittersweet fruitiness holds sway, while tangerine oranges tap dance their way across the tongue in the finish.

Rating #2482 - 2016.05.03 - Bottle at Bru in Philly. Pours a golden yellow with a carbonated white foam that goes on for days Aroma is mild funk, mild pineapple, citrus. Palate is actually quite sweet, lots of tropical fruit sweetness. Mild sour note from the yeast. Mild funk, nice balance.

A remarkably flavoursome beer. A nice, thirst quenching spiciness that sat nicely alongside the hops. It wasnt a session beer because of the richness and the strong mouthfeel, but still very good.

330ml dark bottle, unfiltered, brought by Piers. Mature leather with a hint of medicine. A rounded and mature flavour. Very interesting, like crushed walnuts and grape must, and a familiar flavour just escaping me. Hints of shoe polish. I find this more interesting than attractive, but I do like it.

A slightly hazy orange coloured beer topped with a medium sized off white head that stays atop the beer throughout. Slightly underwhelming smell, but pleasant with some citrus notes. Lots of taste is packed into this beer, there isnt really a list of overtones and undertones as opposed to a bunch of flavours all trying to be the biggest and none of them really succeeding - a mixture of spiciness, bitterness and fruitiness. I may buy again but there are certainly better options.

Served in a tulip from a 330ml bottle. Pours hazy lemon-gold colour with a thick white head, some lacing. Aroma is grains, lemon, spices, bergamot. Taste is cucumber, lemon, orange, slightly nutty and spicy. Thin and slick body with medium carbonation. Very complex, unusual and interesting brew.

Bottle from beer subscription box. Pours cloudy golden with thin foamy head. Fruity aroma with sweet stone fruit and citrus - rather duty too. Soft taste with refreshing finish. Unfiltered, very hazy gold color somewhat peach with small white foam. Aromas of, fruits like peach and citrus. Also smells of straw, dust and malt with light hop touch at the end. Palate, medium texture and light body, with small carbonation and nice long hoppy/citrusy finish. Taste, is quite sweet and simple. Tastes softly of lemons and hops. Overall, very nice saison beer, nice simple and refreshing, beautiful color and aromas all that you need for simple nice saison.
