We have a passion for flavour and a lust for hops this frisky, fragrant pale ale is the result. Whilst consistency is (rightly) the benchmark of most beers, weve gone Wild with Fresh and thrown away the rulebook. Every six months we source some of the most exciting hops from both the northern and southern hemispheres, which means two hop harvests and two excitingly different hop profiles.
Given the unpredictability of each harvest well leave it to you to discover the individual aromas and tastes, but youll be guaranteed a punchy hop character alongside an appetising bitterness and a crisp dry finish that will send you back for more. This is a beer we like to drink all through the year. We think you will too.
The first brew of Fresh has copious amounts of New Zealand hops in it. We particularly love the sherbet lemon aromas in the Southern Cross.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of hops, straw, malt, and a bit of spice. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, hops, fruits, and flowers, leading to a bitter finish. The body is a bit light.

On tap @ Bergen Beer Craft Fest. Pours light yellow, with a creamy head. Aroma is hoppy, with light tropical notes of peach and citrus, as well as some malts. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is bitter hops, with pine, citrus peel and grassy notes, as well as some light malts.

130517. As I have come to expect from Wild Beer this is a solid beer that ticks all of the boxes for me. Citrus hops dominate pretty much all aspects of this beer but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Finishes with a big burst of hops and is full bodied in the mouth.

Slightly hazy straw color with white head. Aroma has really nice floral notes and some sweet lemon. Taste is citrusy at first and continues with grainy notes. Finish has tea notes with a light to medium bitterness. Light to medium body and carbonation. Overall its a decent pale but nothing really special.

beer-yum (1614) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 4, 2017
Restrained citrus aroma in a light gold pour. Hop forward balance with tangy citrus fruit body and big bitter finish. Unusually usual for a Wild Beer brew - but with a fresh twist. Looking forward to future editions (every six months).

Bottle at Zizzis. A bit grainy and yeasty but with a lot of citrus punch to it. Refreshing and enjoyable.
