keg, cask & 750ml bottles, special
This is fermented with 100% brettanamyces – which gives it a totally unique character – as does the generous amount of Sharpham Park spelt we add.

750ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Toffee, dried apricot, peach and hints of hay in the aroma. Biscuity and slightly sweet taste with notes of peach, apricot, sultanas and some faint tart notes. I did not pick up that much brett here. Well, not as much as I was expecting it at least.

Keg and cask at the hanging bat. Fruity and yeasty, a lot more fruit and brett character in the keg.

Bottle from Beer Cellar Online Shop (April 2014). Clear dark orange, tight, creamy off-white head, mandarin, watermelon, mild bretty dankness, slight spiciness, quite sweet, low bitterness, smooth finish. Ok, but nothing really jumps out and grabs me.

Bottle, 04/10/14. Pours a hazy, cloudy amber with a large, white, frothy head. Aroma is fairly wheaty, earthy, saison-like, spicy. Taste is wheat, fairly earthy, saison spiciness, somewhat stuffy.. Light with decent carbonation.

Idiosynkrasie (7967) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2014
750ml bottle. Cloudy orangey golden colour with average to huge, thick, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, fruity, minimally yeasty aroma, hints of apricot and melon. Taste is vaguely fruity, very cautiously yeasty, rather expressionless; minimally chalky in the finish. Can’t detect a single hint of brett. Very cautious, almost a bit anaemic and simple.

750 ml bottle. BB? From alesbymail.com. Cloudy copper colour with a small off-white head. Grainy malt, herbal and berry notes and mild yeast in the aroma. The flavour is mild floral hops, grainy malt and mild yeast. Drinkable but not very tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle pours a muddy orange with zero head. Nose of mild honey, malt.... and not much else. Flavor has some flower petal, honey, light lemon and.... not much else. Overly simple. Where’s the brett?

MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 30, 2013
murkiest tan, thin white ring. Grape skin, light Brett hay, heavy citrus. Thin lemon up front, mid is faint egg before a lightly bitter hay. One of the smallest sours I’ve ever had, carbonation low, no prominence.

radagast83 (8476) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - SEP 28, 2013
