Pours deep black with a hint of red. Small head that disappears fast. Nice sweet aroma, alcohol, coffee, slight fruitiness. Great sweet vanilla coffee upfront, leading to a kick of alcohol warmth and ending with a nice sweet coffee vanilla finish, slight cherry and plum in the aftertaste also. Absolutely fantastic full bodied, thick mouthfeel, probably the best I've had in terms of mouthfeel! Medium to low carbonation. Absolutely cracking imperial stout!

Deepest of ruby hues, pours opaque, ring of dark tan cream.
Dark aromas - molasses, roast nuts, burnt toast, touch of vanilla, black coffee.
Big smooth body, not much in way of rough edges, booze sneaks through very easily.
Rather big burnt/dark sugar component here - treacle, molasses, burnt nuts, sweetened coffee, vanillin & spice notes emerge, savoury finish with a reasonable bitterness.

Bottle at Café Derat, Utrecht. Aroma is lots of coffee, espresso, chocolate, sweet vanilla beans, dessert notes, roasted malt. Flavour is quite sweet with a roasty bitterness. Body is full. Rich one with lots of coffee and dessert notes. Lovely coffee dessert Stout.

Bottle at home courtesy beer buddy Brian. Pours opaque black with small tan head. Minimal carbonation. Aroma boozy, bitter chocolate, licorice, roast barley, black coffee. Flavour lush vanilla, sweet coffee, dark chocolate and molasses. A bit of brandy soaked fruit cake as well. Taste very sweet with solid hop lingering bitterness. Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has dark chocolate, some sweet vanilla notes and a coffee astringency. Taste starts sweet with chocolate notes but gets quickly bitter with cacao flavor and roasted malt. Medium body with soft carbonation, quite dry on the finish. Dark brown, some brown foam comes to the top when poured vigorously but that’s gone in seconds, overall pretty flat. Aroma has some roast malt syrup, soy sauce and piles of umami. I am getting some burnt black bread also, roast is not too high though. Not much vanilla and not much coffee, although these two are supposed to be there. Taste is again mainly soy sauce-forward, liking it as it’s not too sweet, and dryness makes it quite drinkable. Still a warming drink that I am enjoying quite much. Long and roasty soy sauce finish.
