Pours purple with a small purplish head. Aroma is sweet blackberry. Flavor is the same with a hint of booze. Like the rest of this line fruity alcopops. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 12, 2013
Pours a pretty dark purple with a solid light purple foam sheet. Smells like blackberry meat and a little grape juice with the lager underneath. Slightly sweet, but not overly so. Tastes like sugar free, blackberry jelly (not jam), lacks any of the tartness or astringency that comes along with a good, quality blackberry. Really, way too sweet, artificially so. Thin with lower carb than anticipated, which is nice. Overall the beer would be so much better if not for the profound, excessive and reprehensible use of sweeteners. That makes the beer horrid.

Bottle. I knew this wasn’t going to be good going into it but I love blackberries so I thought it would be ok. Smelled like malts and booze. Poured a pale purple. Flavor was infused fruit and alcohol. Horrible after taste. Not a very good beer at all. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - JUL 29, 2012
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A VERY SWEET BEER. Pours a deep red with a purplish head that unfortunately dissipates quickly. Definitely smells of blackberries, as expected and doesn’t really smell of much else though the faint hoppiness of beer can be detected. Tastes very sweet and greatly of blackberries with nice undertones of malt and hops. Ultimately has a nice mouth-feel and the palate is pleasing; it has a surprisingly full body for a lager and the texture is rather sticky, as it is so sweet. Has lively carbonation and is rather fizzy, almost like a blackberry soda (and probably flavored with blackberry extract) and finishes sweet. Rrauth (1196) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 16, 2013
Snuck a two ounce sample from a friend. Red wine color. No head. Aroma is blackberry juice. Sweet at start but weird aftertaste. Glad I didn't buy but wife might like it.

Bottle. Pours dark garnet-colored with a small, lively, pink-hued head. Aromas of sweet blackberry and raspberry, some cinnamon, and black cherry. Sweet flavor, with berry, cough syrup, and booze. Syrupy mouthfeel, slick, with medium/high carbonation. Bah. taphandle (1135) - Texas, USA - SEP 18, 2012
It is what it is and it had to be conquered. It’s extreme blackberry in a lager form. mnmike (1086) - Minnesota, USA - APR 18, 2013
Bottle pour. Not horrible for a fruit beer made by ABInBev. Juicy and kool aid like, but sometimes that’s OK. scooterbub (1064) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - JUL 25, 2012
12 ounce bottle. Pours a purple brown with a tin quarter inch head that fades. Taste is of fruit juice, blackberries and some alcohol. Similar aroma. Has a decent body. Easy to drink and rather pleasant, but not quite as good as the Blue version. MrBeerFanatic (1052) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Pours a dark purple like some kind of grape soda with medium carbonation. Aromas of soda pop (grape almost). Flavors of sweet grape soda and grain. Corn syrupy feel and taste. Leaves a slightly unpleasant grain aftertaste. Medium to high sweet. A little to sweet.
