Pours red wiith off white reddish head that lingers. Nose is blackberrys. Palate is blackberrys with lager lightness. No hops. It is what it says it is. Given its sweetrness, Drink well chilled. Brittany3272 (7) - - JUL 24, 2013 does not count
It’s not a bad beer. Excellent if you are looking for something different. I will probably be getting this beer again. Its totally a must try. thedm (6187) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - DEC 31, 2012
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated light purple hued colored body. The nice aroma was blackberry. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong fruity aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of blackberry and mild hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. Patrickctenchi (6593) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - APR 17, 2012
Pours purple with an off-pink head.
Aroma is strong blackberry, very natural flavour....you almost expect some real seed grit...high ABV is noticable at first, then settles in.
Not really "beery", but definitely a great taste and feel.
Do you remember the old "Scot-Lad" brands of soda pop? This is like the blackberry soda one with booze....and that’s not a bad thing.
A quirky, fun fruit beer. sailracer (486) - Massachusetts, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Bottle. Very sweet beer with a strong blackberry taste. Easy drinking but strong. Great for summer.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark red-black color with a large foamy pink head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was all blackberry pie (crust too). The flavor was tart blackberry pie and sugar. Long blackberry pie and sugar finish. Medium body. Very tasty. sodakotakid (230) - Belle Fourche, South Dakota, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Pours a deep redish purple with a purple tinted head. This beer has a nice sweet blackberry taste and is slightly bitter. The high alcohol taste comes out. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 26, 2013
Pours deep berry in color with a nice light pinkish hue on the head. Aroma brings berry, sweet and delicious. Flavor is similar, sweet berry juice with a hint of lager as the backbone. cheap (5863) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 31, 2012
When I bought this I thought it was some kind of schwartz beer from the look of the label only to find it was just another version of the wild blue AB beer but with different flavorings. From a twist off bottle this had a big blackberry aroma, very nice on the olfactory. Did not smell artificial. The first taste is sweeter blackberries but there is this alky laced thing happening that makes me think the alky was added in, not normally fermented. Yes alky backbone never goes away in this brew. Like many alky beer pops I’ve had in the past reminds me of alot of the St. Ides brew pops. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - JUL 29, 2012
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A VERY SWEET BEER. Pours a deep red with a purplish head that unfortunately dissipates quickly. Definitely smells of blackberries, as expected and doesn’t really smell of much else though the faint hoppiness of beer can be detected. Tastes very sweet and greatly of blackberries with nice undertones of malt and hops. Ultimately has a nice mouth-feel and the palate is pleasing; it has a surprisingly full body for a lager and the texture is rather sticky, as it is so sweet. Has lively carbonation and is rather fizzy, almost like a blackberry soda (and probably flavored with blackberry extract) and finishes sweet.
